First, know what you're getting: this isn't an average B&B with a doting host and a fancy breakfast. It's a quiet, rustic retreat where you can get away from it all. If that appeals to you, go for it! If "rustic" scares you, don't worry--the large rooms are comfortable and make for a great getaway. No one is there to...

I reserved July 31-Aug 1 with Bernice - said I would receive letter with instructions - called week before to confirm since no letter - she said all set. Arrived Sunday afternoon - no one there - no note advising room number or anything - finally found phone number to call posted in lobby(?) - called - waited an hour...

Attended a wedding at The Kaaterskill this weekend. The area and the property are beautiful - loved the lakeside setting and the dinner in the barn. However, the property seems to have been let go a bit. The food, wait and bar staff and decorations were great - kudos to the wedding planners for pulling this off so well. I...

The Kaaterskill is by far my favorite place to go when I need a few days to relax. All the rooms are beautiful, I, personally love to stay in the "Cole" room. It has a beautiful view of the mountains from a luxurious king size bed and cozy easy to light fire place. I love greeting the animals in the...

I believe I attended the same wedding as the reviewer below. In regards to the food- that was actually done by The Rhinecliff. If you rent out the Kaaterskill you have to bring all of your own everything- caterer, chairs, flowers, everything... For the bride and groom who are big planners- (they also worked with a wedding planner), it all...

I attended a wonderful wedding at the Kaaterskill. The service was held in front of the lake, a lovely setting. The cocktail hour was held at the boathouse. The Kaaterskill allowed for a very personalized event and the cocktail hour perfectly reflected the couple. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious and plentiful. Next we moved to the barn for the reception/dinner....

A retreat to the Kaaterskill is one that we will remember for sure. Don't expect a high level of service but rather a haven to rest, relax and enjoy the sites & sounds of nature & life around the farm. The property is chill & allows you to reconnect.

This in a magical place, ideal to relax and get inspired. It is also a great, different, interesting and unconventional approach to lodging, and an exceptional venue to organize events and celebrate special occasions. I am definitely coming back! The details in every space are amazing. Belkis is a genius. Please visit the Kaaterskill Inn!

The inn is really beautiful. It sits on a farm and the rooms are made from an old barn overlooking the animals and pond. The rooms are spacious, bathrooms made beautifully. Their was a little kitchen with coffee and tea so we were happy with the place. Where this place falls extremely short is the service. We asked and paid...

Me and my husband stayed here for our wedding anniversary. I fell in love with this place when i saw it on hotels.com but wasn't really sure to book it since people were giving bad reviews about the place. After talking to the owner of the place we decided to go ahead and book it and take our chances. What...
