I would suggest not eating here. If you do don't get a steak. My wife and I both had the strip steak. It had no flavor. There was two other couples that got the same thing. And they were not pleased either. One couple sent their steak back. And the service was not that great either.

Glen Iris Inn in New York’s Letchworth Park The Glen Iris Inn in Castile, New York overlooks the beautiful Middle Falls on the Genesee River in scenic Letchworth State Park south of Rochester. The Inn has been welcoming guests since 1914. In 1858 when William P. Letchworth stepped off the train on the bridge high above the Genesee River he...

We absolutely loved our stay. The basic rooms have a double bed and are tiny but adorable and comfortable and very clean. The food at Caroline's was great! There are no TV's and cell reception is poor. There's a library on the third floor where we all gathered with our wine and watched TV and enjoyed the view of the...

Letchworth is spectacular! Combine the endless beauty with an excellent meal and it is just the best. All of us were pleased with our different lunch selections. We did not stay at the Inn. Allow time to do some hiking!

I completely agree with the recent review stating that the charm of the Inn is not in the room itself, but in the location. It was wonderful to wake up, go downstairs for breakfast, and head out for our hike. We stayed in the Elm room (1 double bed). It was VERY small, but clean, and had the necessities. The...

Jack Pine in Pine Lodge was nice. The view outside the window is gorgeous but the set up was very strange. There is no light near the head of the bed for reading. Also, the television was above the night stand, making it very easy to hit your head. (My mom hit her head three times on the VCR stand...

We had hoped the fall leaves would be further along for this trip. The Glen Iris staff is very accommodating. Our standard room was very plain and small. However, It was clean. The charm is really not the room anyway but the park and the immediate access to the falls both late and early in the day if you stay...

I found this inn charming but a bit tired. The restaurant served a menu from years gone by as well but it was very good and the service was excellent. The surroundings were stunning and indeed the park itself is amazingly well maintained. Notwithstanding the tired comment, I would recommend staying here if you want a relaxed nostalgic visit to...

This was a pleasant surprise at Letchworth State Park. It cost $8 to enter the Park and when I asked if I was just picking up info on the Park could I get a refund on the entrance fee and was told if we got something at Glen Iris for lunch they would REFUND our fee, since it around lunch...

This is a very historical place which is both a good thing and a not so good thing. You feel life you could be hosted by Mr Letchworth himself, sitting with you on the front porch, watching the falls. The interior stairway woodwork is beautiful and the common areas are comfortable. The gardens were stunning. Very relaxing in general. Our...
