Apparently a family just purchased this place and it's obvious that they did some major remodeling. Everything looks new and the place was very clean. The only weird thing is that the mattresses squeak very loudly if you so much as turn while in your sleep. Regardless, we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again if we're ever in the area.

Stayed for 5 days there with wife and our 3 kids. After 2nd day Our kids were complaining of bites. We just thought it was mosquito bites, 3rd day kids had more bites on weird places on their body like..so my wife and I Purchase some flashlights and Started moving things around like Mattress bed sheets and dressers. What we found was Horrifying! Old dried up feces on back of the dresser and Bed Bugs on both beds! Front desk moved us to another Room after I showed him what I found. I spent several hours washing and drying all our clothes and miscellaneous stuff we purchased, Finished at 5am. Went to the Front desk To talk to the manager regarding getting my full refund. Manager said he can't do that and he has to contact the owner which Happened to be on a cruise on vacation and had no cell phone service. He said he left the Owner a message And waiting for him to get back to him. Turns out he was lying and he was actually the owner. Told me the most he can do is give me 50% off On the next Visit. I was shocked and in disbelief. I told him I was going to report him And he didn't care. We didn't want to take any chances so throughout all our bags of clothes and also took all our kids to the doctors to get checked out. We reported them to the health department and are taking legal action. I Pray this experience will never happen to any person or Families. Sincerely, O'Connor family

We stayed a week only because it was in Carthage, and that’s where we needed to be. The lobby smelled awful. The room not much better. We had to ask for towels, soap, cups, tissue and toilet tissue. The floors were not vacuumed and I found a old dirty sock under the bed while looking for my shoes. The sheets were not changed all week. I believe it is under new management but many improvements need to be made. The continent breakfast consisted of cereal, bagel,English muffin and a overripe banana. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. here

Checked into our room after 2 mins we were disgusted my dirt, Cobb webs, and dirty bedding. So we went to the desk and addressed our concerns. We were given another room. Upon bringing items in we noticed a bug on the wall. We went to get toilet paper to kill it and immediately saw 2 more on the bathroom wall. They were ROACHES. Told the desk and got a refund and left immediately. I use to stay there years back frequently as I have family up there. It's been about 2 years since and I am stunned at how they let to go down hill.
