Magnificent bed in breakfast in the Finger Lakes Wine Region. Beautifully appointed rooms , comfortable bed, all the amenities you need for your home away from home. The rest of the home is a step back in time, this Victorian is superbly appointed and decorated. And the breakfast is on point, scrumptious start to each day before heading out to explore! Paul and Marie are wonderful hosts, and great cooks!
We've been wanting to stay at Sutherland House for quite a while and we're glad we finally did! (We stayed the last weekend of October). The house is located very close to Canandaigua and the Victorian architectural details are beautiful. We had a warm and welcome greeting upon arrival and enjoyed the cozy comfort of our room. Our hosts were always available if we needed their assistance. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts just got better as we stayed - the parfait and breakfast pizza were especially delicious. We'll definitely be back again!
Recently stayed here for our anniversary getaway and so glad we did! Cannot say enough about this B&B. From the house/room, to the food, and the hosts, everything exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and care given to this place really shows. The rooms were spotless and you did not have to want for anything. Breakfast was exceptional--you will have to roll yourself out the doorway when finished, not joking! Still talking about the meals we had there. This B&B is less than 4 minutes from downtown Canandaigua and not very far if you want to explore other lakes and wineries in the area. Bob and Faye were gracious hosts and you will not be disappointed if you choose to book here. Cannot wait to return again!
Beautiful home and rooms. Bob and Faye are kind, helpful, lovely people. Would go back in a second. Everything is provided for you. A delicious filling breakfast, wonderful baked goods are set out every day. Water, Ice, coffee available at all times. They provide instructions and suggestions for your days out along with coupons. We had a great time.
I stayed in the Rose Garden room. Perfect for 1 person. Nice large bathroom. Every little detailed provided to guest. Delicious and hardy breakfasts were perfect. Beautiful grounds and sitting areas are well lite.
My husband and I spent three nights at the Sutherland House for a long weekend in the Finger Lakes. I cannot express how beautiful this B&B is! Faye and Bob do an exceptional job of providing the most lovely and comfortable accommodations as well as offering a top-notch breakfast each morning, which will keep you full for most of the day! If B&Bs are your thing, or your a first-timer, look no further! The Sutherland House is located a very short drive to downtown and the lake, as well as other sights in the area. We're so pleased to have chosen this B&B for our trip Upstate.
It was a true pleasure to stay at the Sutherland house for 2 nights! Fay and Bob hosted us to the best experience with a magnificent room, great bath and room amenities and a gourmet tasty breakfast that kept us full until dinner! The B&B house has everything you need with 24/7 coffee and tea station - with tasty home made cookies, fridge and tasty recommendations for dinner within 5 minutes drive. If you look to stay in the Fingers Lake area - look no more!
We are avid B n B folks and this one definitely tops our list! The place is in a quiet area in Canandaigua, it is about one mile to town. We stayed in the Parker House Suite, which was very roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was phenomenal! Three to four courses and absolutely delicious without making you feel overstuffed or too full. Bob and Faye were attentive and accommodating. We definitely recommend this place and appreciated the many suggestions provided by them for restaurants and things to do.
We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at Sutherland House. Rooms are tastefully decorated, bed was comfortable with quality linens and appointments, AND the breakfasts were a gourmet treat! Faye & Bob were friendly and accommodating hosts with superb customer focus.Highly recommend staying here.
We stayed for two nights in July to attend the nearby wedding of a friend. The home is beautifully decorated in the Victorian theme, is comfortable and very well appointed: fresh home-baked cookies, coffee, water and sodas available just outside the rooms. They also had a variety of toiletries available for guests. Bob and Faye were welcoming and friendly hosts and provided a delicious breakfast to start our Saturday. We were just sad we had to leave early on Sunday and missed out on another amazing breakfast! The Sutherland House exceeded my expectations and we would definitely return!!
