The location is perfectly tucked away but still close enough to so many things. The owners are just amazing and really make you feel like family. At first we received a tour of the property and our room, then they helped us hand pick attractions, map out our days, they have tons of helpful suggestions on places to visit, eat, etc. They were obviously very knowledgeable of the area and all it has to offer. Breakfast every morning was delicious but almost too beautiful to eat. Breakfast is my favorite meal and they really kicked it out of the park. In the evenings there is a different complimentary dessert every night. They were delicious but the cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had and even prompted me to text the property owner the next night to see if there was any leftover! She was kind enough to reply to my crazy request which meant a lot to me. Our room was beautiful and cozy. The inside of the house was warm, welcoming and clean. There is no way I could return to finger lakes without staying there again. We will be lifetime loyalists to this cute little B&B and their awesome hosts.…
This is an absolute gem of a place. Simply one of the best hotels/B&B in the world. The grounds are really nice and secluded. Wonderful views from almost every window in the Chalet. The Chalet itself is log structure but it is surprisingly spacious. Multiple common rooms where just sit and relax. We spent a lot of time in the back verandah overlooking the forest and the pond - nice and quiet. Rooms are a beautiful mix of antique and modern. Each room feels like its own log cabin. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Even a Roku box if you want to watch your own subscription service. In most B&Bs, breakfast is an afterthought. In this one, it is a big reason to come. Patti and Margaret make the most amazing breakfasts - you get a 3 or 4 course breakfast every morning, freshly prepared and served. They will even customize the menu to meet any dietary restrictions! If breakfast wasn't enough, every evening they serve you a freshly made dessert. Simply delicious! I cannot think of one negative comment - We just loved our stay here and hope to come back often. Basically, anything you may need is provided - a truly four out of four star hotel.…
First, the chalet itself is so beautifully designed. Our room was spacious and so comfortable. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and inviting. But the highlight of this B&B are the amazing hosts. Pattie and Margaret could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were over-the-top delicious, and the evening desserts were a special treat. Everything that you read in the other five star reviews is absolutely true. Highly recommended!
My husband and I stayed here for a couple days this week to celebrate our 15th anniversary. I cannot overstate how beautiful, relaxing, and welcoming it was. Maggie and Pattie are incredible hosts, who went above and beyond to make sure we, and the other guests, had a wonderful stay. While it is only a 5 or 10 minute drive to all that Canandaigua has to offer, the private property is completely peaceful, giving the feel of woodsy solitude. The breakfasts, individually prepared each morning, were incomparable! I felt like an absolute queen! I also (obviously) loved coming back each night to a lovely dessert set out for each of us. I am already planning my next stay here.
This is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Finger Lakes area. The chalet is fabulous with very welcoming hosts. Delicious breakfast every morning and dessert waiting for you before bed. The hosts will assist in your daily plans and are like visiting with friends each day. The beds and rooms are super comfortable. Each room is spaced out nicely so as to not hear each other throughout your stay. We left feeling very relaxed and rested. (And well fed)! When we return to the area we will most definitely stay here again.
Homey elegance and genuine hospitality! Every detail leads to a comfortable stay - well appointed rooms, abundance of outlets and shelves and storage in the bathroom. Breakfast on the porch was memorable - a feast to the eye and a delight to the tastebuds, served with joy. Welcoming, clean, quiet - hope to return soon.
We are always on the lookout for a unique getaway. The Chalet of Canandiagua was an excellent find! The building is a high end rustic Chalet on beautifully-kept grounds. The breakfast is a unique gourmet experience. They even made delicious gluten-free dishes for my wife. Margret and Pattie are welcoming and gracious. We had a wonderful time and are planning to return. What is there left to say?
Patti & Maggie are absolute gems! The entire stay they made us feel at home. It was our first time visiting the area and going on a trip with our daughter who is 18 months. They helped us navigate different family activities we could do and made sure she felt at home as well. Breakfast was a treat every morning and the grounds/ accommodations were stunning. We can not wait to go back & will be recommending them to everyone! We can not recommend them more! Amber, Curtis & Baby Eleanor
The Chalet was the perfect spot for our anniversary getaway. Not only were Pattie and Margaret the consummate hosts with their helpful recommendations and delicious breakfasts and desserts, but the house itself and the surrounding area did not disappoint. We hiked, walked by the lake, visited a cidery, browsed the local shops, ate at lovely restaurants, and enjoyed some much-needed R & R. We even went to the nearby outlets and casino. All in all, a great trip and a memorable place to stay. Thank you Pattie & Margaret for your exceptional hospitality. Your five-star rating is well deserved!
What can I say? This was more than I expected it to be! The room was awesome! The charcuterie was amazing and the dessert served; The towel warming in the bathroom; the fireplace in the bedroom/ bathroom; the skylights in the bedroom; the "balcony" view to the kitchen; the fantastic breakfast served in the morning; the view from the "porch" and the fire pit all made for a relaxing evening. The breakfast was unlike anything we ever ate! Imaginative, absolutely delicious. Margaret and Pattie made sure everything was perfect right down to the smallest detail. They were gracious, welcoming, informative and friendly. This Chateau is a paradise well worth the trip! It's peaceful and serene. It's a ten minute drive to downtown Canandaigua and a half hour drive to Naples. The Finger Lakes has a lot to offer and this Chateau is so close! We are definitely coming back.…
