Bill and Janine Nelson operate an excellent B&B along I-90 near the Arkell Museum. Their home is impeccable yet homey. Two bedrooms are located in the front of the home separate from their residence. There is one well appointed bathroom to be shared. The backyard is a nice place to relax as well. Bill and Janine are more than accommodating... More

We had a great experience at the Pineapple House. We were in town for my brother's wedding and had four family members traveling together. It was perfect for us. Bill and Janine are so welcoming and somehow manage to balance friendly personable hosting with guest privacy. We felt right at home. The house and the bedrooms have a cozy colonial... More

My family and I very recently stayed at The Pineapple House during my brother's wedding weekend. Bill and Janine were lovely and hospitable. I had never stayed at a B&B before and was not sure what to expect. I and my family members felt immediately at ease in this charming home. Bill and Janine are engaging and easy to be... More

My husband and I loved everything about the Pineapple House Bed and Breakfast. Bill and Janine are so warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed talking to them as we had much in common! The house, built in 1860, is spectacular, and Bill and Janine have done beautiful renovations, keeping within the time period of the house. It is spotless, and... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Pineapple House. Janine and Bill are really nice, warm, and friendly people and terrific hosts that make one feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and it was a homey atmosphere. The house is an easy walk to downtown.

Bill and Janine were great hosts. The room was really nice and they were terrific hosts with much practical advice on local restaurants and attractions. We were completing the Erie Canal "end to end" trip portion from Rome to Albany and the Pineapple House was smack dab in the middle of our route. We highly recommend!!! Btw.... Great chocolate chip... More

The Pineapple House was one of our favorite spots on our trip along the Erie Canal. Our room was nicely appointed; the bed comfortable, the breakfast was very good ... we had an omelet, fruit, toast and coffee ... just right for us. Bill and Janine were very helpful, and we enjoyed the conversation.

Clean and cozy B-and-B with wonderful hosts. Bill and Jeanine are like my new best friends--they are warm and friendly and are well-informed about the surrounding area. Jeanine knows everyone and everything and Bill cooks a great breakfast! It was a pleasure to meet them and to stay at their lovely home.

Janine and Bill Nelson, owners of the B&B, are like long lost friends. They are incredibly welcoming with a beautiful, clean home. You will wake up to the wonderful smells of a home cooked breakfast after a comfortable nights sleep in one of two rooms. We always enjoy catching up with Janine and Bill on our stays at the Pineapple... More

We were wrapping up a long bike trip along the Erie Canal, and the Pineapple House was the perfect place to start to wind down. Bill and Janine made us feel right at home — a garage to lock up our bikes, a bowl of cherries set out, and a bottle of wine set the tone — and helped us... More
