This bed & breakfast is beautiful inside & out, from the gorgeous Victorian home itself to the charmingly decorated flower-themed rooms. My husband & I stayed in the Rose Room, which had a queen bed & a very large private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The jacuzzi tub was actually the main reason that we chose the Victorian as there are not very many properties in the Rochester area which offer this feature. It was plenty roomy enough for two & very relaxing. There was no one there to greet us when we arrived so the room key was in an envelope attached to the side door along with a welcome note & instructions for finding our room & anything else we might need, as well as a number to call if we needed assistance with anything. This was certainly unconventional, however, I…
Very well cared for. We peeked into each room. They're all beautifully decorated. We stayed in the loft with king size bed. Very comfortable. Attention to detail inside every room and outside to every flower bed. Definitely worth a stay! Don't even hesitate booking.
My brother recommended this B&B for our 5-night stay. It was a great choice. My wife and I stayed in the Blue Room. The bed was comfortable and the flat-screen TV plus window A/C made our time in the room pleasant. Because the B&B had lots of places to sit, watch TV, read or work on puzzles downstairs, we did not spend much time in the bedroom. The bathroom was roomy but the shower was very small. The B&B was built in the 1800's, so the wood floors creak. All the bedrooms are up some steep stairs. Claudia who did the cooking and cleaning was very pleasant and efficient. She asked each day what we wanted for breakfast. And she made up our room while we ate. That's a multi-tasker! As other reviews mention, the B&B is located within walking distance of Wendy's and gas station…
The Victorian has the best location of any property in to stay at in Brockport. Within walking distance from campus and to bars/restaurants on main street, yet secluded enough so it's fairly quiet. The breakfast in the morning was prompt and very good, however a few items during my stay led to the 3 star versus a 4 or 5 star property. I understand this is a bed and breakfast and therefore there isn't 24 hour help, however, they asked when I was going to arrive, yet still no one was there to greet me or show me around. I wandered around a bit before finding my room. I stayed in the rose room and it was very comfortable. Small tv and nice bed, but the best part is the enormous bathroom with the whirlpool tub. Being so close to the college, the property is certainly missing a nice…
My four years of visiting Brockport New York is coming to an end with my sons graduation (SUNY - The College at Brockport) in May. So I feel comfortable in letting my fellow travelers in on one of Brockports best kept secrets. If you are new to this area there are not a lot of hotel choices. There are more now than there were 4 years ago but none better than the Victorian. I have stayed at the Dollinger (good), the Econolodge (Thought we were going to die...) and another Bed & Breakfast in Spencerport (Victorian was full..) Simply stated the Victorian is the best. Here's why... Within walking distance to downtown. If you are doing the downtown bar scene college style... it is great not to have to deal with transportation issues and a short walk back to the bed and breakfast is…
