We had an amazing stay, staff was amazing, especially Jen who not only helped us with our crazy check in, but went above and beyond to help us find fun activities with the kids. She was a wealth of knowledge and really was a life saver for first time lake George visitors. Can’t wait to come back.
Loved every minute of our stay at the Sagamore. Nothing beats this place with its breathtaking views. The amenities are great. Staff are friendly. We dined in at The Caldwells and La Bella Vita. Kudos to all our servers for their superb service, special mention to Arlou who went above and beyond for her exceptional service. Overall, we were so pleased and this place exceeded our expectation.
Great family resort. Great for families with kids. A lot of kids, my kids had a blast meeting our kids their age. My wife and I enjoyed cocktails while the kids ran around with new friends. A very safe resort, a quick walk to the local small town of Bolton Landing. The views are insane.
Visited for a weekend in early April. Had the weather been more pleasant I believe we would have really had a great weekend. It was cool and wet! Stayed in a premier lodge, found it spacious and well equipped, slightly musty, comfortable furnishings and beds. Overall clean, but a bit dusty in some areas. Great family amenities such as the kitchen, dining table and separate living room. Easy walk back and forth to convention area and main hotel. Great pool, clean, lots of loungers. Good food in pub. Recommend supporting a few local places also, there's a great coffee shop and pizza place 3 min drive away! Will try to visit again in the summer as there were lots of activities we couldn't access due to weather.
This resort affords jaw dropping views of Lake George. The public areas of the hotel are top notch. Bellman, servers and all staff were super friendly and really make this place what it is. You must ride the Morgan - it made our trip to this location. We stayed in the first building of the Lodge rooms. The room was big. The bathroom was recently updated. Water was nice and hot. AC worked great. It definitely was not updated in decor or furnishings. Enough to complain? No. It was a bit dated but all worked. Did it sting we paid as much as we did for that? A little. Nevertheless, I walked out on the back by the pool and all those complaints seemed to go away. I spied a main resort room - they seemed much smaller but nicer in feel.
… to locals enjoying the pub, restaurants, & spa…Does Sagamore really enjoy discouraging local residents by imposing an outrageous parking fee for us??? Loved coming to the Sagamore, but no more…😡😡😡
Very nice hotel, a "grand" property with great public space in the lobby, on the porch, and the grounds leading down to the pool and lake. Public space more impressive than our room, which was OK, large but a little dated. Food and service very good, a relaxing and comfortable couple of days and nights. We enjoyed a scenic tour of the lake on The Morgan, their 70+ foot touring boad.
The whole hotel was very clean but show signs of worn out everywhere. The carpet in the hallways were shabby and damaged. We got pizza the bottom was burnt, did not want to send back because we waited too long to get in the first place. The room and bathroom was very small for the outrageous price a night. All the furnishing were dated and damaged. The bathroom had nowhere to put anything but a wicker table that was damaged and looked like they got it at a yard sale. It had a little shelf over the sink enough to put toothbrushes. The variety of toiletries was placed in a broken boat on the damaged cheap table, which took up the area if you were to try to put clothing there. The hair dryer looked to be 30 years old and damaged. They need better pad on the floor in the rooms the kids upstairs were jumping around all day and night thumping all the time. The windows were so cheap that the temperature in the room was 60 all the time because the heater could not keep up with the cold air outside. I understand the hotel is over 150 years old but for the price you are paying they need to up grade enlarge the bathrooms. It is obvious people are paying these outrages prices they are not going to do any improvements.…
We stayed here for New Year’s and had a wonderful time! The staff was extremely accommodating and the spa was the perfect touch. The town of Bolton Landing was quaint so I recommend checking it out. Will definitely be back again!
We were very impressed with the rooms and grounds, but more so than anything, the service was top-notch. Our family is looking to returning for another long weekend in the hopefully not too distant future.
