Stayed one night after being in a crappy motel - Our room was large, clean and comfortable -Will definitely stay again Had a separate area where my son could watch a movie with his friends. Check in was a breeze.

The staff working on the day of check in displayed rude weird racist behavior.Front desk agent had a very nasty disposition about himself. He was extremely snarky abrupt.During transaction that was paid for an hour prior to me trying to check-in constant coughing not turning away or covering his mouth older Caucasian male with glasses. My boyfriend was told that we could check-in after 1pm.Upon me arriving I was greeted be this clerk agent he wasn't accommodating extremely rude.He change his tone once the original person came around to see what was available. The Indian gentleman whom told my boyfriend that we could check in at 1 realized nothing was available as he thought it would be.I was told by the disgruntle older Caucasian male with glasses that I couldn't check-in until 3pm.We requested an early check-in which the Indian manager I think he was tried to accommodate.Unfortunately things didn't work out that way I waited 1 hour and a half to check-in.We also wanted a room on the top floor away from the elevators. That did not happen we were next to the elevators also the room was freezing cold only one towel and something weird and clear on the back of toliet seat which I cleaned off. After doing that I walked down the hallway to check for myself were rooms being clean or occupied.Their were rooms available on the end I requested I saw head of housekeeping ask to look in one room to see for myself. The older bitter Caucasian male whom checked me in gave me whatever he wanted to .In the early morning we were awaken by young adolescents who kept running in and out of the room allowing the door to slam each time.We didn't complain about that just requested a late check-out.We decided to stay another night that didn't happen do to front desk management demanding another $250 deposit which they still had the first $250 from the night before. The older Caucasian male I think his name was Stephen not sure rudely called on 25 minutes before the late check out was up .To add more insult to injury he demanded that we come down stairs to reregister which was bizarre considering the reservation was paid already thru priceline for a much cheaper rate and he was displaying the behavior in front of his manager who cosigned his disgusting racist disgruntle bizarre behavior.Neither should work in the hospitality industry.Management displayed the same ignorant combative behavior as the clerk agent .She than cancelled our reservation reimburse us .She was also very nasty with her demener towards us.Please avoid this place over priced racist disgusting human beings

Dear Cheryl L, Very sorry to read about your experience. I can assure you that no one on our team is racist or combative. Very sorry anyone made you feel this way. Keeping a property clean and smoke free is not easy but we try our best. To make certain guests do not smoke or damage our property, we do have a mandatory $250.00 reimbursable fee as a guarantee so that all guests are afforded an exemplary stay. We wished we did not have to do this but unfortunately we do. As check out time is 12:00pm, all guests wishing to extend need to finalize all by 12:00pm so that we can assure you a room if you wish to extend and still take other reservations as well. We want to accommodate everyone and accommodate everyone as best we can. We thank you for choosing Springhill Suites Long Island Brookhaven and welcome an opportunity to serve you better in the near future. Yours in Service, Melanie General Manager

Am a staunch Marriott supporter but will never stay at this property again. It is not managed by Marriott but by Armitage hospitality out of Texas. On weekends they have only one hotel employee at night covering the entire hotel. Fire alarm went off. Hotel evacuated. Front desk person had a panic attack and was taken to hospital. Throughout the evac ordeal (these alarms happen frequently at this hotel due to rowdy parties, smoking, etc according to police officer). The hotel employee had only one number to call, her manager, Mario. He didnt answer his cell till Suffolk county police called him. Took him a good 45 minutes to arrive at property...no sense of urgency. 45 minutes an amazing Suffolk county officer manned the front desk, answering phones and questions. Sorry I didnt get his name, he should be commended. Not so, this hotel. We were not told to evacuate until a out 25 minutes into the ordeal. When I first called downstairs was told...I am looking into this. 15 minutes later when i saw pajama clad people outside, i called again and was screamed at to evacuate from 3rd floor. Luckily there was no fire, likely kids smoking. If it were a real emergency, dont know what would have happened. Shame on Armitage and Marriott for not having backup numbers readily available in case of an emergency. What would happen if the only person on duty had a heart attack. In this day and age, safety should be a top priority for any hotel. That is not the case for springhill suites in bellporr. By the way, absolutely no apology from manager Mario when he arrived 45 minutes after his employee was taken away by ambulance. Guess we disturbed his sleep@

Dear Smclongisland, We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Springhill Suites Long Island. We apologize for the inconveniences you came across during your stay. Your frustrations came across loud and clear. As with most hotels, there will be challenges and those challenges are always met head on by the staff. I can assure you Mario is a very hard and dedicated worker who answers every call for assistance. As soon as he received the call he came right in. Mario did not question the urgency but jumped in his vehicle and was here to offer support. As a small property, we do not have multiple staff in the later evening hours but our staff is very close by and will come in when needed. We are a team here and very supportive of each other. Ambridge is very supportive as well and cares about the well-being of the staff and our customers. Not our finest hour and again, our apologies. We do hope you decide to give us more of your time so that we may demonstrate the level of service you have come to expect from Marriott hotels. Please reach out to me directly and it will be my pleasure to personally assist with your reservation. Thank you for choosing Springhill Suites Long Island Brookhaven and we welcome an opportunity to serve you better in the near future. Yours in Service, Melanie General Manager

Went with my hubby and two year old. Check in was a breeze. Facilities are clean and updated. Room was one bed studio and it was just enough space. Floors and walls must be quite thick because my two year old was a bit noisy and running back and forth but no one complained. Or maybe because other kids were also in building. Very clean room and comfy bed. Wish bed was an ounce more firm but nice. Great tv, fridge and microwave. I’ll definitely be back

The location of the hotel is not a destination in itself, but if you are looking for a comfortable place to land for a night or two I highly recommend the Springhill Suites. The staff couldn't be any more welcoming and accommodating and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. They offer a more than adequate complimentary breakfast. Try the lollipops at the check -in desk. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. One caution: if you are interested in wine touring this hotel is a bit too far unless you are using a service.
