We had a special offer for a night and dinner and so decided to give it a try. Slick service on arrival, with very good explanation of the hotel and spa and walks in the grounds. We gave the pool and sauna a try before dinner which was lovely and not at all crowded. A drink in the beautiful rooms...

Just returned from Spa Break. Room in courtyard wonderful with large bath & shower, very large walk-in wardrobe, TV, hairdryer, radio etc etc, small galley kitchen with fridge for tea/coffee etc. Dinner in main house exceeded expectations and had us drooling. Spa treatments left us refreshed and smooth! Swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. Extremely attentive and helpful staff. Highly...

Amazing hotel in beautiful grounds. The hotel is full of history and character, all the staff made us feel very welcome as soon as we checked in, during our stay we were made to feel very relaxed and comfortable. The bedroom was full of character, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the...

Loved the setting and the building itself. Staff were generally very polite and attentive and dinner was very good. The rooms are somewhat dated, but that's to be expected and part of the charm. Although we didn't need it, the TV is tiny. However, there is very fast wifi and the building is well heated. If the weather is nice...

Stayed for 2 nights (12th-13th March). Very nice welcome from all staff; including the man at the gate who let the car in.....right through to reception staff who took our booking. The hotel has a homely feel with comfy seats lots of pictures on the wall and some interesting books/magazines dotted around. Our room (no.30) was large and opened out...

Started poorly as reception commented that we were on a voucher stay much to my wife's embarrassment ,beautiful building but the rooms although authentic could do with dragging into the 21century .bed seemed to be two singles together and although I never went to watch tv .the tv was about the smallest I have seen in a hotel anywhere breakfast...

The room was a lovely surprise for my wife along with the flowers, the house was interesting to explore along with the restaurant which we both enjoyed the exquisite dining, the desserts were gorgeous. The spa treatments were just what...

I held a Birthday lunch at this very good hotel for my family, and also stayed the night afterwards with my wife. The arrangements made for me by the Special Events Department were absolutely immaculate (thank you Megan). We had a private dining room, an excellent menu, and the services of two first class waiters for 11 of us, and...

We had the pleasure of staying here for three nights and enjoyed every minute. The food was delicious, the room/suite (the Lee suite) spacious and beautifully decorated, the grounds a pleasure to walk and the staff, welcoming, polite, helpful and can never do enough. But the highlight for me was the staircase, brought a smile to my face every time....
