Sanctuary Baines’ Camp is our smallest camp with only six luxurious suites. With star baths and sky beds on your private deck, this is a romantic oasis. Set in a grove of trees, and surrounded by papyrus beds, Sanctuary Baines’ Camp is built on raised platforms high above the Boro River in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. We encouraged the local community in Maun to collect cans, with a fee paid for every can, which were recycled to form the backbone of the camp’s structures. Baines’ is also one of only two camps to offer you the opportunity to walk with elephants. The six suites at Sanctuary Baines' are opulent and luxurious, with ensuite facilities and four-poster beds. Should you wish, your bed can be wheeled out onto the private wooden deck for a night under the stars, overlooking the shimmering waters of the Boro River where hippo can often be spotted. Or take an indulgent soak under the stars on your own private viewing deck in an opulent star bath.

It's a cool place, charming and intimate. It is lovely to watch the animals from the camp, even before you set out for a game drive. I enjoyed sleeping under the stars as my bed was rolled to the balcony. It was a treat to have a bubble bath outdoors as well. Staff is lovely and attentive. Game drives are wonderful. Spending the morning with Morula and Jabu at the project nearby was extraordinaire. You are not kissed by an elephant very often in life!!!

Dream trip to a dream place. Ultimate safari, Africa, nature, magic experience you can ask for. Since I was a kid and having travelled extensively for work and pleasure through Africa, the Delta was always my bucket list destination. My lovely wife made that dream come true this year with the most fantastic trip of all times. We stayed at this magnificent camp, with the most amazing friendly people. The Delta was dry but the experience was from another world, so unique, so spectacular. Mr Ice our Guide and Lindsay the manager and all of their staff made our experience the best we could ask for. relaxing, quite, a place that makes us insignificant when all that life is around us. The hotel is amazing, great food, the cooks are the best we have found in the continent ( and trust me this is my 35th country). Thank you Baine's, thank you Delta, thank you Botswana

This is a unique camp where the houses are made from empty cans covered by straw and mud. Very comfortable. Staff are extremely good. Plenty of animals to see with very good guides to show you around. Good food and drink

Another terrific Sanctuary camp. Staff could not have been more attentive and caring. Great game drives - elephants, leopards, giraffe and much, much more. The whole experience was absolutely fabulous. Candy, Oti, Emile and everyone else were fantastic. Thoroughly recommend Baines Camp.

The camp has just 6 accommodations and guests are pampered by the large well trained staff. I have never experienced better service than that provided by Candy and her group. The facility provides plenty of game viewing from the commom areas that look out over water frequented by hippos, elephants and many other species. It was a magical experience. The highlight of the 4 days was a walking safari with two elephants.
