#39 of 71 Specialty lodging in Okavango Delta
The Gomoti tree is locally known as the water fig and grows alongside waterways in the Okavango delta. It’s a smallish tree which sometimes grows no bigger than a bush. The Gomoti trees line the waterways and provide excellent cover for nesting water birds such as herons and storks. Situated on the edge of the Gomoti river system is Gomoti Plains Camp.

I can hardly begin to describe the experience - its more than we could have dreamed about. We have been to a few of the big name parks in Africa but nothing came close to the delta. We visited in December and each day was incredible - we should have stayed longer! Rhona and

Hands-down, Gomoti Plains is fully deserving of their recently acquired title of "Best tented safari camp in Africa". This is my fifth trip to Africa having travelled in Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia & Zimbabwe and experienced numerous game parks, lodges and camps.

We spent 2 nights at Gomoti Plains Camp after a safari in Chobe, how huge is the difference between those 2 experiences. Chobe was great but Gomoti was out of the competition: there are no words to describe our experience. The camp is awesome, we stayed in a Luxury tent and it

You will simply love Gomoti Camp. It's location is lovely and on the water. Food and accommodations are wonderful. Certainly consult you health care provider, but anti malaria meds are recommended. We take Malarone whilst in Africa. It did give me a headache for a few days. Mosquitoes were only bad at dusk and near the water. Remember, it only takes one bite from an infected mosquito. The camp provides mosquito spray in tents and around the camp. No need to pack any. Have fun!

Hi there, For Gomoti Camp bring Type M, big rounded 3 pins plug, there are about 2 charge point areas. They also have USB points for your phone. The tent is very modern and only about a year old. They may have a spare plug for you to borrow but this isn’t always guaranteed. Hope this helps, Have an amazing trip and if your guide is Mott, he’s an exceptional guide! They all are!
