The quad bike tour and sleeping under the stars with a stop to see the cute meerkats was a huge highlight to our trip. BK our guide was fantastic and made it so great with fun games, stories and info about the area. The pool back at the homefront was a pleasure to relax by and dinner and breakfast were... More

We didn't stay at Planet Baobab but visited/stopped for some drinks and lunch. Not a good idea if you are planning on getting some traveling done as you can wait at least 45 minutes for a meal. And the food is very mediocre. While am sure it is fine for a leisurely weekend I do not suggest a stop here... More

This is a very different Lodge from other Lodges around Botswana. Lovely African feel to it with a kind of Retro African decor. traditional style huts. The Staff are all very friendly, from the reception staff to Bar, to Restaurant, to housekeeping. You have to place your dinner order early at the Bar to eat later in the Restaurant. The... More

A great campsite and bar! We stayed here camping for a night, and I was very impressed. The pool area was great, huge pool, with some sun loungers. The bar area was big and very beautifully decorated, and reasonable priced. The bar closes at 10:30pm. Toilet and facilities were nice, and was able to have a warm shower. Wifi was... More

My family and me recently stayed at Planet Baobab and were, in short, extremely impressed. Each camping spot is spacious, has a shaded area, with an electricity source and bbq. The ablutions are spotless and the showers are especially good. The bar is full of character and offers good food at reasonable prices. Most notable is the friendliness of the... More

Arrived with the most friendly welcome from staff. As we were early for our room we were invited to wait in the lounge bar area. This is when you realise this place is different but in a retro funky way. There is an open court area where the fire pit is located and is lit each night so you can... More

We flew in from Savuti and ended up that there was nobody to pick us up at the airstrip also we have paid extra for this service. Finally about an hour later someone arrived...Although the lodge was maybe only filled 1/3 they have given us the hut next to a hut which has been renovating. The workers were very noisy... More

I stayed at Planet Baobab as a part of an organized safari. I was a bit skeptical upon arrival, but I found it to be a pleasant surprise. The accommodations are comfortable with a traditional look. Our hut had its own indoor bathroom and shower (some were outside or in a different format), as well as a spacious sitting area.... More

When we arrived, we were met with a sign saying the pool was closed for renovations and that the family hut that we booked was no longer available and that we would have to take two huts. When we questioned them about what activities existed in lieu of the closed pool, we were told that we could just sit around... More

Yes, the place is great, staff is sympathetic and everything... but why would they put 2 different groups of campers in areas that are practically together if all other camping areas were completely empty? We had to stand these noisy group right by our side the whole evening and their shouting child crying during the night. That's unforgivable... It would... More
