We had the most fantastic 3 nights in Savute Lodge at the end of January. The lodge is stunning and well managed & maintained. There is so much space in comunal areas of the lodge that guests are spoilt for choice where to relax. The rooms are huge, comfortable and lack for nothing, with each room having a direct view over the watering hole, frequented by over 60 elephants most mornings and evenings. The staff are happy, courteous and helpful . The food was great and pentiful. The guides are amazing. Our guide was Isak, the best guide we have ever had (and we have travelled to many places). Isak has a knowledge and understanding of wildlife that he loves to share with the guests. He pulled out all the stops to make sure we saw 4 of the Big Five (rhinos are not in the area) in just one day. The excitement when we saw Neo the famous leopard up in the tree was special. Isak was thrilled for us as Neo is quite elusive. Isak even made sure that when we found the many wild animals he positioned the vehicle for the best photography. We would recommend Savute Safari Lodge to everyone. You will not be disappointed. PS The landcruisers were new and comfortable (unlike some other lodges).

Words really won’t do this place justice. A simply incredible place with first class accommodation, fantastic staff, great food and fantastic wildlife. The rooms which are large and very nicely furnished are positioned so they all look over a watering hole. Due to the fact that the surrounding area is very arid. It attracts huge numbers of animals particularly at night when herds of elephants arrive. It gets very loud but is a fantastic sight to behold. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to get to know you and provide a brilliant service. Food was amazing and plentiful. The safari element was very different from the Okavango delta but nevertheless extremely rewarding. We were fortunate to see a number of lion cubs after their mother’s had made a kill. It was truly awe inspiring. Overall a fantastic experience and well worth the money to stay at this wonderful lodge.

My son and I travelled to Savute for a two night safari in December. We arrived in the afternoon and we were able to do the first safari in the afternoon. We were not disappointed in all the animals and birds that we saw. Conrad, our guide, was top-notch. He was so knowledgeable on everything from plants, birds to animals. He explained the habits of the animals and pointed out things to us (like the baby elephant without a trunk). The watering hole outside the Lodge was remarkable. Many animals came throughout the day to drink, and the elephants were quite boisterous at night. It was wonderful to lie in bed and listen to them! The staff at the Lodge went above and beyond ensuring we had everything we needed. In fact, the morning that we left they brought out a cake at breakfast for my son's birthday that day. The staff rotated eating with the guests during lunch and dinner and it was nice to meet the other drivers. The Lodge is small and personal, which makes the stay warm, friendly, and welcoming. I would highly recommend Savute.

We stayed 2 nights in Savute Safari Lodge: - The lodge is a luxury tented camp - Very clean, elegant and cozy - Food excellent - Staff and guides are very kind and available the whole time - The waterhole is great - hundreds of elephants come by in the evening time, making it a show you will never forget (you wouldn't say elephants can get so loud) - Game viewing is very good - especially for cats - All in all: perfect, we would go back!

We stayed three nights at Savuti at the end of an 8 night safari in a Botswana. It had a very high bar to meet or beat as we had a wonderful time at Xugana and Moremi. However the game viewing exceed all expectations and included female lions with cubs, male lions, a pair of mating leopards, hyena with babies as well as a very rare wild cat. Of course we saw more common species like elephants and antelope, as well as over 70 birds during our stay. While game viewing cannot be guaranteed there is a lot of game here. Our guide Obed was truly outstanding and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. It’s worth knowing that all 3 camps we stayed at now have wi fi in the rooms. Due to the remote location it’s a bit slow and erratic but it’s great to be able to download email, text and post on Facebook.
