memories of GTGR are now my "happy place" when i get stressed out back here in the world. what a way to escape from it all, oh my god. nothing but the sound of horses, crickets, coyotes and hummingbirds. nothing in the sky but stupendous clouds and a billion stars. no lawn mowers, babies crying, sirens. IT WAS BLISS. the... More

My husband had a trip like this on his bucket list so I agreed to go. My only concern was having a good horse that would behave :) My husband has good horsemanship skills and mine are fair - not a lot of confidence. The accommodations were great - clean and comfy. Food was wonderful. Meris and Seth take great... More

First, I love adventure. I love horses and the outdoors. I personally ride and own horses. There are times in your life when you just do not have the time needed to haul your own animals. So for all you riders out there, if you are worried about being a "dude" don't, you will have a glorious time! Seth and... More

Had big expectations at time of booking my stay.... Well, they were exceeded by far...!!! The whole place is neat! Very warm welcome, made me feel at home from the first moment of arrival. Hosts and staff are VERY friendly. The surrounding is perfect. The trailrides (perfectly organized and supervised) kind of magic! Even for me as beginner in terms... More

This was an outstanding vacation for me and my best friends. Meris, Seth, Kelly, and Tim instantly felt like family, but when we said we felt guilty for not helping with dishes or the horses, we were told we were "on vacation" and to just relax--we all felt like we were honored guests. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable; the... More

From beginning to end, this was an outstanding vacation. Planning stage: Although the ranch does not have access to cable or text, Meris somehow managed to respond to each of my emails within 24 hrs. (That was no easy task as I had many questions!!! ) Driving to and from the Ranch: Meris' directions are perfect; follow them and you... More

This was our second visit to Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch and just like 'Toy Story 2' the second trip was better than the original!! Meris sorted the horse bit - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, happy - a real life 'Jess', whilst Seth sorted the meals - great salads, sweets and meat / fish dishes, always enough and of excellent variety and quality.... It doesn't get any better than this! What an honor and privilege to come to this ranch. The cabins are cozy with warm toasty heaters. Seth maintains the horses with "upmost care". Maris will fit the riders ability and personality with the appropriate horse. The horses are in excellent shape. My wife age 67 a first time rider, felt safe... More

Meris and Seth (and their tolerant, alert steeds) are amazing guides to this unique, remote eco-system, packed with wildlife, and thousands of years of human history. Their love and knowledge, and care, of their home terrain is obvious. They were as skilled and gentle at handling our very varied family as they are their horses. Every day's ride was different,... Me and my 2 boys(ages 8 and 10) stayed at the ranch for 5 days. The boys learned to ride horses in some of the most beautiful landscapes this country has to offer. You ride through open fields that have no houses or people for hundreds of miles and through steep canyons with streams running through them. Horses are cool... More
