Knew very little about Grootbos before the visit. Flew in by helicopter - good landing areas as well as a fixed wing gravel runway. Facilities are superb. Service superb. For superb. Loved every aspect of it and can’t wait to spend more time there.More

Whales just off the coast, horse riding, wind tours, great food, dinner in the dark in a Milkwood. Fabulous rooms, sun-deck facing the ocean (what a sunset) and the most informed and passionate staff - a real treat.

I agree. It is a very casual place. A casual dress or skirt is fine for dinner. The rest of the time, you will be outdoors engaging in hiking, beach activities, etc. Be comfortable here!
