We chose to visit Ulusaba during our South African Safari simply because it was Richard Bransons property. I can assure you we were not disappointed. From the very second you touch down at Ulusaba air strip your made to feel welcome. After a glass of cold champagne on arrival

We had a wonderful time at Rock and Safari Lodge. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would give the rooms, pools and food 4 stars but the game drives were exceptional and more than compensated for those slight disappointments. We were lucky enough to have Liam and

Second time to Sabi Sabi, first time at this particular lodge. The lodge has amazing panoramic views of the bush. Situated high on a mountain, you can see so much without having to leave the observation decks. Binoculars are good but you can see at a distance many animals.

My husband I had never been on a safari before. We were expecting it to be cool, but the experience was beyond anything we’d imagined. The staff at Ulusaba's Rock Lodge under manager Vickers is extremely attentive and accommodating. The food is amazing and in no short supply.

Dear Rachel S, Thanks so much for taking the time to share such fantastic feedback following your stay with us and thank you for choosing Ulusaba as the first place to ever experience a safari. We’re thrilled that we were able to make it such a memorable holiday and that you were able to see so many animals during your time with us. We’ll be sure to pass on your wonderful comments to the team, in particular Vickers, Neal, Brad and Harold. The fact that this once in a lifetime experience has now made you realise you would like to come back again is very special for us and you can be assured it would equally be as magical! Dear no1silverlady, It’s lovely to hear from you, we cannot wait to welcome you for your first safari! Thank you for choosing to spend it at Ulusaba. The weather in July is typically warm and sunny, with average temperatures around 26°C. The nights tend to be cool and crisp, so we recommend bringing a light jacket for the evenings and early mornings. For game drives, clothing in neutral colours are best and trainers are perfect for safari walks. Back at the Lodge you are welcome to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Some guests like bring a couple of smart-casual outfit for dinners, but jacket and tie are never required! If we can help further then please don’t hesitate to get in contact with our friendly reservations team who would be very happy to help. We are really looking forward to meeting you in July! Which is better, Master suite or Rock suite at Rock lodge??
I am quite surprised at your answer as we didn’t think that when we were there a few years ago, I loved the format and the attention to detail and the way everyone was together in the evenings for dinner, we have decided to go there again because we loved it so and not because it was pushed to us at a travel agent..I will await someone else’s response to my question as it’s not whether we go or not, it’s which suite to choose! But thank you for your response..

Dear Bozso77, Thank you for getting in touch and for your interest in Ulusaba. It is certainly possible that you may see rhinos during your game drives, and both white and black African rhinos have been spotted in the Sabi Sand Reserve where we are situated. Our pools are solar heated during the colder months, but as October falls in the summer you should find the pool at a very pleasant temperature. In October daytime temperatures can reach 34°C/93°F while the evenings tend to be pleasantly warm. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our reservations team. Their details can be found on our website and they will be very happy to help. Have a magic day, Karl & Llané Langdon General Managers
