Great staff, pleasant, helpful and informative. Chalet (No 8) far enough away to be all alone as we like. Meals excellent and plentiful. I could go on and on about this place as we enjoyed the relaxation and home away from home feeling. Really sad about the drought and river being almost nonexistent but still saw elephant come down to... More

We stayed here with our friends Peter and Sandy, having travelled from Cambridge, U.K. We have visited several game parks in the past but this was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Sandy's review cannot be bettered, we agree with everything she has written. All we would add is that the food was excellent, we were... More

This was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first. From check in to departure Mvubu Lodge is professional establishment. The rooms are spotless and well positioned for a lovely view over the river - we had chalets 5 and 6 - and spent many lovely moments checking the game at the river - this time... More

Living at a lodge in the bush myself I was not sure what to expect. I am happy to say my expectations were exceeded. From our arrival Catherine took great care of us! The accommodation was clean, practical and tastefully decorated. The service was good and the food was nice. Very good value for money. Free WiFi would have been... More

Avoid this place if you are not a hunter. The place advertise all kind of activities that do not really exist. You will be treated ( even if you pay good money ) as a third rate visitor if you are not a man with a gun... Exclusives zones reserved for hunters that you will not access ( e.g. Black... More

We only booked one night at the lodge and wished we were staying longer. On our drive from the entrance to the lodge we saw a multitude of animals and birds and it just got better from there. Our accommodation was stunning and we especially enjoyed our covered deck area that had a feel of being a private little hide... More

Very nice lodge, great people, super food, rooms cosy. We used it for our hunting trip. The service is en top, even when we get late for brunch. Dinner at the boma was excellent. We will be back for sure.

Catherine and her staff were outstanding with their welcoming hospitality! We were also delighted with Maxwell, our Game Ranger, he was very entertaining. Despite the drought we saw giraffe, buck, rhino, buffalo and elephant. The views from the lodge are stunning and the accommodation very comfortable.

Came here in winter. Although it was dry the game viewing was great and staff were both professional and friendly. Great views from room 2 of the valley and the river. Many elephants and hippos on view

We were a group of 16 gathering for a family birthday. What was pleasantly surprising was that we didn't have to lock our chalets. The thatched chalets were comfortable, clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and made everyone feel at home especially Bertus and Catherine. They went out of their way for us! The meals... More
