I had my truck towed to johns truck service he recommended desert inn for my stay for the weekend. The price was great n the place was very nice. There was a guy at the front desk devon he was so helpful with everything i needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible i give desert inn 5 stars. And Devon thank you for all your help
When we arrived we were greeted promptly by Josh at the front desk. As lucky would have it a call came in at the same moment. Josh asked th caller if he could put her on hold and received a negative response He expedited the call and was able to check us in promptly. Kudos I say to his courteous manners to both customers. His restaurant recommendations were spot on with local flavor. Thank you Josh, you gave us a great first impression and we enjoyed a comfortable stay!
Our pickup broke down and John's truck service recommended the Desert Inn. The rooms and the whole hotel was very clean. Devon checked us in and was most gracious. I could not figure out how to work the remote on the TV and he came and fixed it. Nice helpful young man.The motel is pet friendly with a minimal fee. The kitchen area was nice and clean for breakfast. We did not use the pool area as all of our clothes were in our broke down truck that was at the shop but we're told that it was nice. If we pass through here again we would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff.
I would not recommend this hotel for the price. Price was considerably higher than what was advertised out front on the street. No elevator which is hard on seniors or anyone with a family n kids which is a lot of luggage . Tv remote didn’t work. Room was freezing and took a while to warm up. The place appears clean.
We were driving from Oregon to Connecticut and stopped at the desert inn for the night. We checked in kind of late but Bryan Sloan working the night shift was so kind and courteous. He made us feel comfortable and welcome. He answered every question and was super helpful. The parking lot was safe and the room was alright but what really sold us was the customer service we received the night we checked in. Bryan was a very friendly and funny guy.
Good hotel for the price. Josh was great at check-in.. very helpful & friendly. Older hotel but clean with nice pool and hot tub. Eating places are limited in town so can be very busy. Adequate breakfast however no sausage or bacon. Book ahead as they can get fully booked quickly.
Got me out of a hard situation and made it quick and easy. My van broke down here in town totally unexpectedly. He was very accommodating and made the stress of the situation I was in easier. They also are pet friendly here. Helped me and my dog stay warm for a couple nights while we figured out our best options to keep moving down the road. Very happy with the service as well as the clean rooms. Bryan Sloan even offered food from his own pocket wondering if we might be hungry. This was amazing even though we didn’t need it, he made sure we were comfortable in our situation. It was a blessing to run into the desert inn and meet Brian Sloan. As he was helping us he was also helping guests, without making us feel invisible. He would multi task like I never could, and I respect that he made sure we still felt payed attention to. If I was to run a business I would hire Brian sloan as soon as possible if available for any customer service or greetings. He’s a certain kind of soul you don’t run into often, but makes you feel at home, or as if you have known him forever. These kind of people don’t come around everyday, and I appreciate the hospitality and his presence under the circumstances that I was befallen. If you’re ever in Tucumcari NM, this is the place to be. Bryan is not the only one, but the graces and blessings on me partly came from the desert inn and Bryan Sloan. Thank you so much, I say gratitude only for lack of better term. Thank you forever…
I lost my keys and Bryan Sloan at the front Desk helped me search through the garbage can in case I threw them out. Total gentlemen move …very much appreciated and respect to him and the staff at the desert in. Rooms were comfy and the pool and hot tub were great as well
He was kind generous freshman best pulley I ever asked to work at a motel does a professional job and cleaning the lobby keeps the lobby clean pretty good the food area picked up does a good job behind the desk
The guy at the front, Josh was super cool. He apologized many times for the pool and hottub not working properly. I was really looking forward to the hottub. Water heater was broken too. Really cute place though. Decorations for the holidays were a plus. Maybe spend that decoration money on getting things fixed?
