We stayed there twice on our recent trip. It is not luxury but it gets the job done. Food and fuel are quite close, so is Interstate 40. The exterior is nicely done……it is very inviting. Parking lot was well lit. Many of the folks at the morning breakfast were retirees traveling across the country. Breakfast was OK. Staff seemed serious as they went about their jobs.
We were on a 4-day road trip from TN to CA and this was by far the best place we stayed. Even our dog would agree! Twyla checked us in that day and recommended a great restaurant down the road. Overall it was an awesome experience!
Air conditioner in the room we stayed in made so much noise you couldn’t hear the tv or sleep. They brought us a fan in about 10:30, just blowed hot air around the room the rest of the night, miserable. The tub drain would not drain out when taking a shower so you were standing in water. We were given $34 of our room bill back when we checked out, still to expensive a night to sleep without air conditioning. Twila the worker on the evening shift was very helpful, doing everything she could to make us as comfortable as possible, however the morning worker was not very personable or friendly.
This is a wonderful, non-chain hotel on Route 66. It is super clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is also very reasonably priced. I have stayed at chain hotels that were not half as nice but were double the price. The only reason I don't give them a 5 star is the coffee at breakfast was lukewarm and I couldn't find a staff member. If hot, morning coffee is important to you, you will understand. Otherwise, a great hotel that I will return to.
Love, love this hotel. Rooms are cute and clean. Sylvester was very helpful, caring and compassionate. He put us in a room that was very quite and comfortable. Shower was amazing. We will definitely stay here again and hopefully get the same room😁
