Another fantastic stay at the Desert Flower Casita with my wife and we brought a friend to help share expenses and the experience. The casita is perfect since the living space is in the middle with the bedrooms on opposite sides for privacy, and the view as you walk out is spectacular. The personal soaking pool is always wonderful for those midnight soaks in the cool air. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and readily available. The public pools, seating areas, and walkways are clean, maintained, and convenient for everyone regardless of mobility level. This is our (wife and I) 7th time visiting. We try to go at least annually, but our guest enjoyed it for the first time and is vowing to come back now that our oasis is known. Having access to the pools and hour before the public by staying there made it a joy to relax and watch the sunrise, the fish jump, the herons and other waterfowl move about the Rio Grande as the steam rose off the hot springs pools. We spoke to people from all over who came to enjoy the restful and refreshing waters. Not a complaint to be heard. I learned they are expanding with 4 more upcoming rooms and possibly installation of a swimming pool which would be a fabulous addition. Indeed, we will be back to check those out. What I enjoy about Riverbend over other places in T or C is that you can move from one pool to another rather be stuck to one temperature pool the entire time. Plus, it's one of the rare ones that has outdoor soaking. …
Very pleasant setting, nice rustic room decor, close by soaking just steps away, and pure relaxation! The suites are private and accommodating whether soaking or simply resting. Our favorite getaway ❤️
This was a very peaceful retreat after a day of hiking. Good for sore muscles and weary souls alike! My 18 yo daughter and I did the 1 hour public soak for access to 8 different pools that varied from “warm” (-100F) to “toasty” (-107F). Make sure you float in the hammock!
Couldn't even visit! We were whispering! As a matter of fact when I came back from the restroom, I couldn't hear my friends talking and I was right outside the gate to #5! I will be never be back! The expensive for what you get too!
It's a little expensive but well worth it. We would definitely consider coming back and enjoying more time in the Hot Springs. One hour is not enough. At sunset it is really beautiful watching the river and all the lights that turn on at night.
I had two private pool soak sessions at Riverbend. I got the singles soak special for my daytime soak. I paid full price for the 9pm soak but it was worth it! The private pools are just sublime. Sparkling clean, the perfect temperature, and there is a "whisper rule" so no one disturbs you. There are some rules about soaking so read ahead on the website before you go. The staff were all very pleasant and did their jobs well. I highly recommend this place and T Or C in general for a one to two night vacation.
I have to say that Riverbend Hot Springs is my happy place! There’s nothing more relaxing than soaking in a natural mineral hot pool while watching the Rio Grande go by. With all the various pools there’s always room. There are lots of loungers when it’s warm enough to just lie back and zone. A special treat is a visit from Minnow, the Queen of Riverbend, a very gracious feline hostess.
First off. I'm not an influencer, don't get paid by anyone and paid full price for our stay. Riverbend is by far THE best place we've ever stayed at. The pictures do not do the property justice. The entire ground are spotlessly clean and well maintained. We stayed a week this February in room 3. I would recommend rooms 1-3 as they are right on the patio just opposite of the soaking pools. You don't have to worry about noise as the entire place is a quite zone. Another recommendation is to book a private pool EARLY, we were not able to get one as they were all booked (didn't help that one day we were there was Valentine's Day). You can soak and watch the wildlife on the other side of the river. Most relaxed birdwatching we've ever done. Saw a Great Blue heron catch fish, quail walk the river bank. Even a pair of coyotes one morning. They do provide a robe, but it's a one size-fits-all and pretty thin. Would recommend bring your own. The only negative for us was that there was not clothing optional. It's the pits getting out of a nice hot soak and having to walk back to your room in a cold suit in the winter. Do not hesitate to book a stay, you'll not be disappointed!…
Check in was super easy and the interaction was quick and friendly. The pools are amazing and the staff made a great effort to maintain a quiet environment - regularly asking people to lower their voices! There are a number of rules etc that are sent to you before check in which is efficient but somehow makes you feel as though it's an intrusion having you at the property. We stayed in the new 'mini' RV Conquest. It was VERY spacious and comfortable and a quick walk across the street to the main entrance. Barely further than the courtyard rooms. It is fully equipped - bedroom is a little cramped and the memory foam mattress was on the hard side. We have never stayed in an RV before and found the movement of the vehicle when we moved around was a little strange. We would still stay in it again as it was so much bigger than other rooms we've stayed in at Riverbend. This property is magical and we will continue to come as much as we can. Many of the rooms can now only be booked for two night stays which is difficult for us but we will continue to look for the odd one night stays that do come up on the calendar. T or C has limited restaurant choices so advisable to bring your own supplies. Gas grill in the courtyard is great for cooking steaks etc.even in the middle of winter! .…
What a beautiful place! We stayed here for 24 hours of and zen. It was worth every penny. If you can’t stay overnight, just come for an hour of soaking. The public area is amazing- 9 different pools right along the Rio Grande with varying temperatures. The private pools are a shhhh zone, clothing optional, offering the chance to really heal in these nutrient-filled waters. Amazing!
