This ranch is a wonderland. At nearly the end of the line into the Santa Fe National Forest, this is akin to getting lost in time and place. And what a wonderful place! Cozy, comfortable cabins – either by cooled by pine scented breezes or warmed by a crackling pine fire. A big-ole bathtub with lots of hot water. Lots... More

On an intense, cross-country driving trip, our two days at Los Pinos were a delightful chance to forget everything except beautiful scenery, good food, cool nights, the sound of rushing water past our window, and the freedom of hiking in a wilderness area. At $150/day for each person, it seems expensive, but that includes 3 excellent meals per day plus... More

I have been here three times and loved each visit. I brought my children the last time (late teen and early 20's) and all of us ad a great time together. While we stayed in two individual cabins with a pot bellied stove to heat the room at night (temperatures can drop to 40's at night in the summer) everyone... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the beautiful guest ranch and loved every minute! The ranch is secluded, peaceful, and completely off the grid (no cellphone service, no internet, no tv) - like taking a step back to a simpler time. This is a beautiful spot to enjoy the outdoors during the day and come back to... More

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and loved every minute! Tucked into a forested valley, the old log cabins are beautiful with log chinking, a very time consuming but beautiful detail! It must have been quite the place in it's heyday. Now, there are no animals except the humming birds (hundreds! with 3 large feeders filled several times a... More

I have been up to the Ranch once before as a day guest. The tranquility and beautiful surroundings are truly inspiring. This is a piece of God's country and makes evey a dyed-in-the-wool Californian (fifth generation!) like me fall in love with New Mexico all over again. I'm going back at the end of this week and I can hardly... More

June 2012 was our second year to pack up our grandkids and head for Los Pinos, at the kids request. And once again, we experienced a delightful sojourn in the tender care of Alice and her family. Los Pinos provides a peaceful retreat into times past, from the log cabins with real chinking and beds covered with quilts and lots... More

i am not going to go into the many dismal details about our stay in this laughably(in retrospect) so called guest ranch. run down, poorly maintained, expensive yet valueless. creepy.

(Note to Tripadvisor: the map and location of Los Pinos is inaccurate. The ranch is north of Pecos, NM, and nowhere near Hobbs.) We've stayed in three of the four cabins at Los Pinos Ranch many times over the past dozen years. It's a magical place--none other quite like it. Less than an hour from Santa Fe and twenty miles...
