Clean, efficient, nice breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, peanut butter, coffee, and in a nice breakfast nook. Good value. Not close to the plaza but not too noisy. we had booked for two nights but wanted to move closer to the plaza and they let us cancel.
The room felt old and dirty. Many things have to be fixed there (sink had no stop, smelled bad, bathtub broken, shower curtain not fixed), staff and guests were not wearing masks. It was loud at night and the walls of the rooms very thin.
The room needed a bit of updating (painted bathtub?) but it was clean and comfortable and very affordable. We had some issues with the key cards, but everything else worked like clockwork. The staff was great. The breakfast was better than any of the other hotel continental breakfasts we've had in the past 2 years (not pre-packaged) with yogurt, cereal. Fresh fruit, bread, bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, make your own waffles, fruit juice & coffee. We were happier with the stay here than with a hotel we'd just paid $250 a night for previously. This is our second time staying here in about 10 years. We'll stay again.
key fob issues, unable to access from exterior, reservation and room selection issues, initial booked room occupied, second assigned room not cleaned, final room did not have king bed, cleanliness issues. hair dryer had makeup finger prints on it, bathtub scratched and chipped and water leaking from tub spout
This Motel claims to be smoke-free and pet-free upon arrival we found this to be anything but true when I asked to be transferred to another room the manager agreed and stated he didn't have anything that day but would accommodate me for the second night stay.. the next morning when I went to exchange rooms the General Manager approached me with verbal abuse and threats and stated I accepted the room as is and basically would have to stay in the assigned room or I could leave which was impossible since there were no other rooms available in Taos New Mexico..The room actually smelled like a dog pound...They advertize a continental breakfast but that was another joke since there was no attendent to service the empty breakfast bar..TRAVELERS BEWARE STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION AS POSSIBLE!!! I will say however the Manager Raul was a true gentleman and tried to accommodate but was over ruled by the GM..…
