The hotel was good for the price, Plus it was fiesta wknd so it was worth it. Every year around July 20th taos has fiestas with good food, bands, dancing, toys, face painting, jewelry, lots of downtown fun.

Wow. I get that this is an old building, but there is so much that could be done to make up for it. Like a clean room and better essentials. The hallway was dark and smelly - often smelling of cigarette smoke. The bed was comfortable, but the square pillows were odd. The towels were ridiculously thin and tiny. The... More

My friend and I spent 2 days at this hotel for a girls only trip. The short and sweet of it, the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. The room itself was great, perfect quiet location of the hotel. The pool was amazing, and so was the hot tub! Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy, but, again,... More

Thank you for your review. I am happy that your room and the pool and hot tub were very much to your liking. I am very sorry that your perception of some staff members was that they were rude. It was a very busy time and sometimes staff get overwhelmed with the responsibility of attending to a very large number... More

The good: Quick check in, great beds, pillows and bedding. Lots of options for breakfast (more fresh fruit/veggies would be wonderful additions). Cool water in the pool. Pool towels (none available one morning, but quickly remedied). Nice to have conditioner for my hair, in-room coffee and coffee available all day in the lobby. The bad: The coffee pot wasn't tall... This hotel is very outdated. The water pressure was non existent. The free breakfast was not that great. I would have thought that in the middle of July they would have had some fresh fruit but all they had were apples. All the tables in the breakfast room were dirty & when we asked the attendant to wipe one off... More

Lovely hotel, older but very , very clean. Spacious rooms, big screen TV, sink outside of bathroom, loved the green grass and table/chairs to eat outside. Best sausage and gravy on biscuits ever! Did not have time to use pool and Jacuzzi- but was big and clean. Very reasonable rates for Taos. We stayed here after soaking at Ojo Caliente... More

Room was clean. Bathroom fixtures, ironing board & iron were old and in worn condition. Breakfast was typical; there was plenty of seating which was nice. The rate for Sat night was quite high in my opinion for a property such as this that is quite dated.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you felt the rate was high. If you shop around, you will find that our rates are actually lower than comparable hotels in this town. We are continually working to improve every aspect of this hotel and are making great progress; New vanities, paint, fixtures, lighting, carpet... Plus a brand new... More

Booked online, I've stayed at this hotel many times under previous ownership and frequented the bar n restaurant regularly when I lived locally. Current owner is not community friendly like previous owner. Restaurant and bar is now closed discouraging locals from use of the facility. Room maintenance n cleanliness has gone downhill as well. One tiny roll of TP in... More

Thank you for responding to our review. I am sorry that the closure of the bar has had such a negative effect on your opinion of our hotel. There are numerous bars in close proximity that guests can, and do, enjoy. As for the rates, we cannot maintain four year old rates and still stay in business. If you compare... More

This place is in terrible need of an update. They have been remodeling rooms which were ok, but the rest of property is in bad shape. The staff was nice and the breakfast was your typical Choice hotel variety. This was the most expensive night of our motorcycle trip and by far the worst place of all rooms in the... More

Helpful staff, clean rooms, but the WiFi kept cutting out. Great breakfast in the morning, and convenient location. The only issue was that there weren't any elevators, but there weren't that many stairs up to our room on the second floor.
