Historic 200 year old hacienda lovingly restored an a rise overlooking Taos. Only a 5 minute drive from the Taos Plaza. We are laid back, friendly & outdoor enthusiasts with extensive knowledge of the area. Situated on 7.5 acres with great sunset views. Beautiful suites & cozy rooms and 2 new 1 bedroom Casitas with hand carved doors, Mexican tile, fireplaces, skylights & homemade breakfasts. Pets allowed in certain rooms.
My wife and I were on an extended road trip, and she needed to teach a class to 60 students the following morning. We called TGH to ask about WiFi, and instead of just say it’s good, Bob did a speed test to tell us the specific speed, consulted with his IT guy, and offered for her to setup in his office where the modem is.
She ended up teaching the next morning from his office, with her laptop hooked up to the modem. Bob just laughed as we brought in a flat screen monitor, walking past the guests enjoying breakfast. Bob was so comforting during a nervous time for my wife, which made all the difference in the world.
This type of welcoming attitude is completely reflective of the property. Each room is unique and cool, Bob makes a killer breakfast (we even bought a pair of the cool coffee mugs in the breakfast room), has classical music playing in the main room, has a beautiful patio overlooking their 20 acre or so property to the west. We also had an incredibly cool gas fireplace in our room.
Just an amazing experience overall. Can’t imagine ever staying somewhere else in Taos in the future.
This B&B is for those wanting a more authentic New Mexico experience. Beautiful room with a small fireplace, just far enough from town to be in the country but only a 10 minute drive to be in town for meals and activities.
Beautiful surrounding views of the mountains. The room didn’t have a TV which was fine with me—-I have movies downloaded on my iPad so that’s all I needed. The fresh food breakfast is served directly to your table, with fresh berries and a new main course each day and was wonderful. Owners are friendly and attentive—-laid a nice fire in the main room fireplace at my request for me to light on Christmas night, that I thoroughly enjoyed from the comfortable sofa. Only downside was the wifi wasn’t strong enough to FaceTime with my family in Colorado. I highly recommend this place.
The location outside of town provides for a very peaceful, esthetically pleasing experience, as does the adobe structure and the way Bob and Cady have furnished it, including the fountain in the courtyard and the music playing all night in the tastefully done reception/breakfast room. Mary's quiche and muesli for breakfast were delicious. Mary, Bob and Cady made us feel like family with great service!

We enjoyed this hacienda immensely. The location is pretty special--only minutes from Taos Historical District with easy access and plenty of parking; the accommodations were splendid. The lady attending the property was exceptional, provided a very good small and healthy breakfast. Unfortunately there was too much wind to have a fire pit but the views were great. The problem that keeps me from rating this a 5 is we experienced an incident of another guest couple with 2 dogs that they never put on leashes. These dogs chased my wife at the front walk and most definitely would have bit her had she not managed to get in our room and shut the door behind her. When I went out the man with the dogs quickly disappeared around the corner of the property. I immediately raised the issue with the lady attending the property and she handled it immediately. The other couple departed within 10 minutes from the property. My recommendation for this property and others is for the owners to specifically require, without exception, that all animals be under the owners' control by leash or other control device. …

This is a lovely family-owned B&B in the outskirts of Taos. Each room is different, so I suggest you read the descriptions and/or talk with the owners before booking. Beds are very comfortable; pillows and towels are good. Breakfast is delicious and just the right size. Accommodations can be made for dietary restrictions (we are vegetarians and it worked out great). It was extremely hot when we were visiting and Sarah helped us move to a more airy room and gave us extra fans.

Wow my wife and I have travelled to many places but particularly love to visit Taos. We’ve stayed in hotels and many B&B’s snd must say this was the best of them all! Lovely peaceful surrounding with a waterfall but the best was the accommodations. A very rustic plaza type home with 10 rooms to choose from all various styles for your taste. We chose the Artist Studio which we both fell in love with immediately when we opened the door. Meet the owners who are very friendly and polite snd welcoming. They offer breakfast, coffee snacks just a wonderful weekend for us both.

Even though it only bills itself as a "guest house" and was moderately priced, The Old Taos Guest House is one of the highest rated lodging choices in Taos. However, it did not meet our expectations. The location was convenient (although it's easy to miss at night). Our room was cozy--to the max (meaning it was really small, especially the bathroom that was maybe three feet wide). Furnishings were OK, and the mini-kiwi fireplace was welcome on the cold winter nights. The bed was a tad too firm. Breakfast was bare bones, granola, oniony kisch and airy muffins. The fireplace in the common room was not working, which wad was a bummer. If we had paid $100-$150/night more for another B&B, we probably would have been happier with our accommodations. But, apparently, there are many more reviewers who were more than satisfied with their stays at The Old Taos Guest House.…

Our room #9 Little Hacienda Suite was warm and inviting with a kiva fireplace in the corner. Our room had so many special details like the skylights in the ceiling and the niches in the wall. The grounds, sculptures, and fountain were lovely, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. Plus, the guesthouse is very close to the historic center of Taos. The only drawbacks were being unaware there was no TV in our room and our wifi going out the second night. Regardless, it was a wonderful stay, and we appreciate all the work Bob and Cady have put into the property.

Wonderful experience in this comfy adobe style hacienda. We had a very nice size room and comfortable king bed. The hostess “Mary” was nice and served us with a beautiful breakfast each morning. The overall experience was so relaxing. We were able to explore several areas from here including Taos Ski area, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Carson National Forest and Santa Fe. Loved it!

We love to Hike and we love to stay at B&B’s. This was the perfect little place for our weekend getaway hike. It was right outside of town (Taos) and about 45 minutes from Wheeler peak. It was very peaceful and had nice scenery. The owners and their sweet dog, Louie, made us feel very welcome. The room we stayed in was very clean and truly authentic to the region. There was no TV in the room we stayed in which was completely ok by me, but they did have WIFI so we were able to connect to the outside world that way. The breakfast was delicious and gave us a little bit of everything from a breakfast parfait to a southwest egg bake and a muffin. We will definitely be planning a trip back in the winter time so we can stay in one of their rooms with a kiva fireplace!

My husband, 20 month old son, and I stayed here one night while on a road trip. The grounds and decor are gorgeous! The room was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was incredibly delicious!! The Inn Keepers and their dog, Scout, were lovely! Now that we know about this Gem of a place, we will definitely stay here again.
