Every year, dear friends visit us in Taos on their way to Tucson. They always pick out a different nice B&B or hotel each time. Until now. They stayed at Palacio as our guests in December and were so impressed they have decided Palacio is now their Taos place. I agree. Fabulous rooms, incredible breakfast, very attentive staff.

This is a beautiful property in a quiet area (minutes away from the restaurants and shops). The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. We enjoyed the warmth of the gas fireplace and the comfortable bed (the bathrobes were warm and cozy too!) The staff were hospitable and knowledgeable about all things Taos. We were treated to a delicious gourmet breakfast that included locally sourced ingredients. We look forward to staying there on our next Taos adventrure.

It is rare to find a real place to stay with a personal touch, but this little gem is just such a place. The communication was first rate with Pam from start to finish and she really goes out of her way to anticipate your needs and make you feel like a welcome guest. Our room was spacious, well appointed and clean. We have stayed at a number of different lodgings in Taos and this was a definite favorite.

Nicholas is a creative and amazing chef. Best breakfast I've had in years! He is also a super nice person and truly cares about the guests. Pam took care of us and our needs as well. Lovely stay; would recommend when in Taos.

Different sort of place to stay in Taos. Small but elegant hacienda, with bed and breakfast set up. Very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was nicely outfitted. It was pretty quiet while we were there. A big shout out to Nicholas for sharing lots of local information for things to do, and for the amazing breakfasts- delicious croissants, omelets, including local ingredients-all home made and wonderful. We were in the Matriarch room and our only suggestion would be some pillows on the big chairs to make them more comfortable- and a coffee table near the chairs to set down drinks or books. Loved the fireplace and out time there.

Beautiful historic hotel that is easily walkable to downtown Taos. The hosts, Pam and Nick, were both great and offered very useful tips on hikes and hot springs. The included breakfast is also fantastic. We stayed in the Matriarch Suite, which I highly recommend. It is extremely private / quiet has a great library / sitting area and a private balcony. This is an extremely romantic Inn.

We were greeted by our host Pam & she was full of suggestions for good places to eat, entertainment, shop, or walk. We love walking & found an excellent restaurant (Lambert’s) within 10 minutes. We lingered after dinner to window shop & get a drink. We walked back in the dark (using a flashlight) to our room (Icon) but stopped in the reception room to grab a cookie to enjoy in our room with tea & coffee. Our room had comfortable chairs, a refrigerator full of water and half & half for our coffee & tea. We had a selection of coffees & teas to choose from. The bed was comfortable & the decor made us feel like we were fully immersed in the Taos experience. We had table & chairs on the patio to sit out & enjoy the fall colors. It was a warm day but the room was comfortable with the overhead fan & open window. No a/c but there wasn’t a need for it. The old Pueblo village is a short car ride away. Parking was easy as well. The breakfast selections were exceptional & our morning host made us feel most welcome. He was full of information about things to do or eat in the area. We visited with other guests at breakfast which made our experience even better. We hope to stop again the next time we are passing through Taos on our way to visit family & friends in NM & CO.

We recently had a wonderful stay at Palacio de Marquesa on a trip to Taos. We stayed in the Diva room which had an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Nickolas was a wonderful host and a fabulous chef. His breakfasts and pastries were amazing. He provided great recommendations of restaurants to visit and sights to see. If we return to Taos in the future, we would certainly stay at the Palacio de Marquesa again.

Palacio de Marquesa is a hidden gem in Taos. If you're looking for a quiet and unique property, still within walking distance to the plaza, then this is the perfect spot. We loved our room, Socialite 1, and its adjoining courtyard. It was the perfect spot to enjoy cool evening temperatures with a glass of wine. The furnishings in the room are quite lovely.

From the moment we drove up to the property off of the beaten path but so close to town, we knew we had chosen the right place to spend the weekend. Pam's text the morning of got us excited about our trip. She greeting me as my husband parked the car. Easy check-in. We were promptly shown our room- The Romantic. Spacious, clean, with a large bathroom and amazing "mini" fridge. The main lodge has fresh cookies and is where a most amazing breakfast is served every day. For us coffee-lovers, there is a Keurig but also plentiful coffee in the main lodge. We purchased prosecco to have mimosas with our breakfast our first morning, and Jim and Pam made sure we were taken care of. They are lovely hosts. Pam advised that we could use the amenities at their sister property, El Monte Sagrado, so after a several hour hike, we sauntered to its indoor pool where we were welcomed and had the pool all to ourselves. The bar and restaurant at the hotel were just gearing up but managed to make us tasty margaritas. We were in town for the Plant/Krauss concert in Kit Carson Park. It was a short and easy walk to the plaza and concert. Best of all, the B&B is dog-friendly, and we were so happy that our furry pal could join us for the weekend. I would highly recommend this as a lodging option if you find yourself in Taos. I have high standards, and I was pleasantly surprised to experience a magical weekend in Taos. We'll be back!
