My fiancé and I stayed here for New Year’s ‘22 and had an amazing experience! The hotel manager, Ashley, and chef, (Sean?), were amazing and could not have been more accommodating and hospitable. The location wasn’t quite as central as sister property Monte Segrado, but it was also kind of nice being tucked away in a charming Taos neighborhood and the service was A+. Would highly recommend.

Nick and Ashley manage to pull off relaxed and casual-yet-professional with aplomb. They always had time to address any questions we had and, if the conversation took an unexpected turn of a more personal nature, they had time for that too! We really enjoyed our time there.

We recently stayed at Palacio de Marquesa and had the most wonderful experience. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted at the front door by Ashley the concierge. What a refreshing and unique experience it was not to have to check in at a cold, formal hotel desk, but rather we walked into a living room with a warm fire and were given fresh, french press coffee and ate right out of the oven cookies. While completing the minimal paperwork on couches and comfortable chairs, Ashley, sat with us and explained the history of the hotel, discussed art with us and she provided recommendations of places to eat and see. We ended up spending 2 hours talking with her before we even unpacked the car and went to our rooms. Upon arrival at our room, the Illuminator, we were pleasantly surprised. The room itself was wonderful and spacious, the bed was firm and warm and the fireplace in the room was a delightful asset. The bathroom was large and modern and we appreciated the touch of having water stored in the mini refrigerator, which was really a wine cooler. The room was modern, clean and full of light. What really made our stay so special was Ashley. What a gem she is! She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at ease and she was able to accommodate to all of our needs including having gluten free items as one person in our group has celiac disease. We were able to purchase the hotel wine, which was very good and we were even given 4 Riedel wine glasses which was a nice touch. She even bought beer for my husband who doesn't drink wine. She would sit with us at breakfast and inquire about our interests and our day's events as well as she would bake for us fresh chocolate and almond croissants, my personal favorite. Every recommendation Ashley made was superb and every request we had was granted. As I am not a fan of New Mexican cuisine, though everyone else in my party was, I heard wonderful things about Chef Eric's, breakfast burritos. Overall we had a delightful experience and we will be sure to return to Taos if for no other reason than to stay at this hotel and enjoy more time with Ashley.

Our stay in the Matriarch Room was exceptional. The facility is clean and the food was wonderful. Nicholas and Ashley could not have done more to make us feel like welcome guests. They offered terrific tips for dining, shopping and general site seeing. We enjoyed the heated tile floors, the breakfast delivered to our sitting room and the supplies to have cozy fires during the evenings. We most certainly will return to this location and staying here will be just one of the reasons.

If you want a beautiful room with an amazing tub, stay in the Matriarch Room. It was just what we needed. Also - the hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We were able to check in a bit early, which made our stay that much nicer. Breakfast was great, and we enjoyed the flexibility of being able to eat either in the dining room or our own room. Parking on site for free and nice, quiet location. Wish we could have stayed longer.
