Believe everything that you read in previous Trip Advisor ratings of Casa Gallina and Richard. They are all true. I cannot begin to put into words what a magical place Richard has created. It is evident that all he does is a labor of love. He ensures every little detail is perfect...and I do mean every tiny detail. Richard is...

The host, Richard, is amazing - yummy treats awaited us in our casita upon arrival ! We booked the Bantam Roost for 3 nights......Unbelievable luxuries ! Artwork, scenery, bird-watching, full sky of stars seen from the rooftop deck just steps from our bed, fireplace, fresh eggs from chickens you can visit in your backyard.....great restaurants ! We loved it here...

Richard has brought all of his experiences and talents to bear upon Casa Gallina. He is a thoughtful, gracious steward. The peace and grace of Taos seemed concentrated at Casa Gallina. It is easy to be overwhelmed by the majesty of places like the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and Taos Pueblo. We looked forward to simply sitting on our back...

Richard is a wonderful host and the setting is amazing. I told Richard, I was looking to spend a relaxing week with my wife and he and his inn delivered the result. Every one of his suggestions were right on time. Our room was the perfect home away from home, we could stayed in there all day. We enjoyed Richard's...

Casa Gallina was our home away from home for four nights in Taos. While Casa Gallina is not a B&B, Richard provides fresh eggs every morning from the chickens on the property, as well as unexpected treats and surprises. He truly takes the time to make sure his guests are happy and completely satisfied with their stay, and it's clear...

I've travelled a lot and Casa Gallina is by far one of the best accommodations ever. The casitas are beautifully decorated with artwork of local artists, spotlessly clean. Centrally located, close to the center of Taos, it's easy to reach any of the top spots of interest. Owner Richard Spera is the consummate host. A great resource for area activities...

Casa Gallina is a gem. The host, Richard, makes you feel like a long-lost friend. The accommodations are artsy as well as comfortable and the setting is idyllic amid sprawling ranches. Neighbors include a donkey, a colt and a newborn calf. The piece de resistance is Richard's promise you that if you give your food morsels to the chickens, he...

When I first looked at Richards place I thought there is no way one place could be so popular. My family wanted to go snowboarding, we live in South Texas so Taos seemed to be the best place. That is how we ended up at Casa Gallina. Our family has never stayed at a place where you are so welcome....

Casa Gallina is truly a haven of peace and relaxation. The trip was a combination business/leisure for the fabulous Taos Shortz Film Festival, but leisure is what I will always remember. These weary travelers were greeted by our gracious host (and after three days, kindred spirit!) Richard Spera, who had prepared a small feast complete with farm fresh eggs for...

If you are considering a visit to Taos, NM then look no further for a wonderful place to stay, Casa Gallina is your new home away from home. This is a near perfect place to stay when visiting Taos. The casitas are quaint, beautifully decorated places to relax and enjoy the mountains and fresh Taos air. Richard, your host, is...
