This was the most memorable, enchanting and charming accommodation of my life. Richard is the most generous and hospitable host, and his "girls" (the chickens) are gorgeous and lay the most delicious eggs--which I had four of every morning. Richard's baking delights--fresh upon arrival and as a treat during my stay added to the already over the top delight. Can't...

Truly a home away from home. Richard is a lovely, warm and friendly host. Everything you could possibly want is provided. It was a wonderful and relaxing getaway. Richard takes the time to orient you to the town and provide suggestions for your stay. Listen to his restaurant suggestions. He knows what he's talking about.

This was the most relaxing and energizing bed and breakfast we have visited. Between the beautiful space, the outdoor seating areas, gardens, fresh eggs from the "ladies" and fresh veggies gathered from the gardens, this was by far one of our favorite places we've stayed anywhere. We were welcomed warmly, with wine, cheese, fruit and nuts. Richard took time to...

Fantastic and friendly, Richard told us about his love of labour -- Casa Gallina. It's a home away from home.. when you're initially driving to the location, it can be a bit treacherous (our thoughts were.. ummm where the heck are we!).. but once you arrive at your casa.. it's paradise.. especially attention to detail: the cozy fireplace, the welcome...

We arrived at Casa Gallina late at night. We did not know what to expect, with the lights from the Barred Rock Casita guiding us to our destination. But, when we opened the door, we found it to be warm, intimate and beautiful. The next morning, Richard brought savory, gluten-free pastries for us. Each day, we looked forward to the...

Casa Gallina captures the unique sense of place of Taos. Every aspect of the creative and comfortable casitas is in tune with the eclectic inspirations of the area. Rural setting, convenient proximity to town. Richard's attention to detail and passion to provide a great experience make this an annual destination for us. Ask for the quinoa cookies.

Casa Gallina is beautiful and exceedingly comfortable. Richard's warm hospitality is felt everywhere - from his informative welcome, the snacks waiting upon arrival, the attention to aesthetic and practical details in the casita, to the freshly baked warm muffins delivered to my door in the morning. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Taos.

The property is minutes away from Taos plaza yet feels so cozily secluded with a fantastic view of the mountains. Richard, our host, was also superb and he even surprised us with treats upon arrival, followed by fresh eggs from 'the girls' each day and homemade gluten-free goodies. He took the time to draw places of interest as well as...

CASA GALLINA was highly recommended by a close friend. We were not big fans of New Mexico until we found Casa Gallina and Taos. The Casitas are truly wonderful. You are a quick trip to downtown Taos from Casa Gallina. Now let's talk CHICKENS. THEY ARE SO VERY COOL! Really a lot of fun to be around. Plus the very...

My friend and I stayed 3 nights in Leghorn. This space is so conducive to just hanging out and enjoying the time. We sat around the fire, listening to music, playing backgammon and drinking wine. Richard is the best host and brought us treats in the morning! the best scones and apple carrot muffins I have ever tasted. We felt...
