We loved El Gallo Grande. It was decorated with a lot of mid century and western style. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was lovely. I can't say enough good things about Richard. it's like visiting with family who don't annoy you!!!

Casa Gallina is a place we hope to return to often. Richard is so warm and welcoming, and treats you like family. From the fresh baked goods to how much he loved our puppy, it was an incredible experience! We stayed in the two-story Bantam Roost Casita. It was snowing while we

We stayed in the El Gallo Grande in between Christmas and New Years with my daughter and son-in-law. We drove from Denver which was only 5 hour drive and when we arrived we were greeted with a great bottle of wine, crackers, cheese, olives, almonds and chocolate. The house is

My husband and I stayed with my parents in the El Gallo Grande right after Christmas! The decor is so charming and cozy! With it being so cold out, those stove furnaces made the house warm! It’s one of those places where you immediately feel at home! Richard’s hospitality is

We stayed in the Barred Rock Casita for a week over the New Year holiday, and loved it. The place is super-cute, with great artwork, interesting books and comfortable furniture. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. Richard is an amazing host:

Thanks for being in touch ... I'd love to host you! I have many Texas guests coming here all summer to get out of the heat! You'd love it any time in the summer. The night time temperatures go down into the 40's most every night, so we have no need for air conditioning here! (we just open windows at night to let the cool air in). Day time temps are in the mid-80's usually during the day (and dry!). My favorite months here are July and August when the monsoon rains come (Don't worry - they're brief rains that come and cool off the mid afternoon and make for very dramatic skies and sometimes a dramatic thunderstorm!). Hope to host you soon! Richard

Hi there! I do allow older, well trained dogs (not puppies) to stay in certain of the casitas. My main concern is that my chickens (who roam only semi protected out back) will be safe. I have had visiting dogs kill my chickens before, so if you feel that my chickens will be safe, I will allow your dog to come. I do charge an extra $50 fee for your dog. And please do let me know when you reserve that we've spoken about this. I'd love to host you all and hope that your dog is a good fit here~!
