Absolutely love this inn.... Jules, Robert and Stormy and the Inn on the Rio make you feel like part of the family. Came for holiday weekend with my brother . We roamed the town, took in the sights and marveled at the surrounding beauty. Drove up to the Vietnam Memorial .... Breathtaking and sad at the same time. Made new... More

I forgot about the free breakfast because I was already satisfied with the amount that I paid! Owners Jules & Robert are throwbacks to a bygone era when people cared about others genuinely! The pool is the type of pool that you can swim laps in. There are two huge birch trees there that would be prominent subjects in a... More

We've been visiting Taos for over 30 years and several years ago were delighted to discover the Inn on the Rio. Jules and Robert are absolutely wonderful hosts and always provide the warmest welcome. Everywhere you look you find the artistic charm unique to Taos. Jules' outstanding breakfasts, with Robert's homemade bread start the day out right. It's always fun... More

Eleven of us recently stayed at the Inn on Rio for a family gathering at the recommendation of our daughter who lives in Taos. Rooms were charming Southwestern decor, large well kept swimming pool and hot tub, beautifully landscaped with a very large outdoor space for the family to gather at night and enjoy Taos evenings under a star filled... We found Inn on the Rio on the Internet. It looked like the kind of place we like to stay, but it turned out to be quite a find! The rooms aren't large but are very comfortable, and decorated with a basic southwest theme. The truly great thing about the Inn are the owners Jules and Robert. The are friendly,... More

Not fancy but nice and quiet. Breakfast was good and the owners were nice. The rooms and furnishings are very dated but we just needed a place to sleep and there was very little availability in the area. Would stay at again.

We have stayed at Inn on the Rio multiple times during the last 20 years. The food is good, the room cleans and beds comfortable. I feel safe there and know details are taken care of by the on-site owners. Christmas dinner in the keeping room was a treat because guests visited with one another over a well prepared meal.... This experience was unlike anything I have ever experienced in over 30 years of traveling. At first site, we couldn't even find the place and thought we must be going the wrong direction, then we saw what looked like a Motel 6 strip motel that had been redone with adobe stucco and saw the sign. After seeing some of the... More

We have been staying at the Inn on the Rio for at least five years for Thanksgiving weekend as well as a good summer visit. It is our favorite spot in Taos. The Plaza is only one mile away and we often walk, but the Inn feels like a spot in the country. Great operators. Fair prices. Lots of New... More

We just spent 3 fabulous nights at The Inn on the Rio, and can highly recommend it. We could tell when we pulled in that this was a 1950's motor court, remodeled, and had a moment of uncertainly, but once we got out and looked around, we were sold. The hosts, Jules and Robert, are warm, welcoming and full of... More
