We spent three nights here in July and did not want to leave. The camp itself is situated with lovely views and excellent facilities - the tents are spacious, well equipped and cosy on a winters night (the heated blankets are a bonus). The food was excellent and drink options extensive - if you want wine not included in the package it is very reasonably priced. We ate in a variety of locations around the camp meaning no day felt the same. We both liked being able to help ourselves to drinks from the bar (a good mixture of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), we felt this aspect made us feel very much at home rather than having to ask members of staff to make us drinks. The safari drives themselves were great fun. We saw plenty of animals and no drive was the same. As the camp itself if small you never feel packed into a vehicle which makes the whole experience feel much more exclusive. Beware, it really is cold on winter mornings (much colder than I ever expected!) - cosy blankets are provided. The sleep out is an experience I would definitely recommend, the memories from this night have provided entertaining stories since! Overall, an excellent camp, authentic feel with added luxury. Staff are fabulous and do everything they can to provide an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend a stay at Garonga!

Excellent Trackers who can find the Big Five. We would recommend Garonga as your first wild life experience, small numbers of cabins and excellent facilities. You must try the night tree top sleep-out.

What an incredible experience - we were excited before arriving and were blown away with the overall experience - from the start of our 5 day stay to the end it was one highlight after another - 8 safaris and everyone had a unique highlight - accomodation was of the highest standard - staff were passionate, friendly and you could tell they enjoyed the interaction and connection with guests - our safari guide Sophie and tracker Bongi made the safaris one of the best experiences we have ever had and it was not just the wildlife interaction it was also how knowledgeable they were and how we are so much more educated on the eco system of nature which has changed our perception and perspective - if you get a chance do not hesitate to take the opportunity to stay at garonga.
