We stayed at Garonga for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon in January. The whole experience from start to finish was incredible. The camp and our room/tent was very comfortable and the staff were so friendly and attentive- remembering our names and chatting to us about our day. It was our first safari and it surpassed our expectations, thanks...

We were extremely excited about staying at Garonga, and it delivered in every way! This was our first safari experience, and Garonga is a perfect way to introduce you! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel special and incredibly well looked after. We opted for the private 4 seater plane to arrive into the nearby airstrip which...

My husband and I returned this summer to Garonga, the site of our honeymoon 13 years ago, with our two sons, ages 9 and 11, and my husband's parents in tow. My father in law has Parkinson's Disease, so we decided to come to South Africa for a week and stay only at Little Garonga, where we rented all three...

While Garonga and Little Garonga are undoubtedly the perfect spot for a most romantic honeymoon, you don't need to be young or in love to appreciate the wonders of the African Bush, courtesy of Bernie and his staff. The Makalali Game Reserve offers all the Big Five, together with a huge variety of other flora and fauna, and the expert...

It was our outstanding visit while honeymoon. Staying at Garonga Safaria Camp is not a choise it is to be there if you want to see great nature and lovely service. Starting with a welcome drink, the manager showed us the camp, explained a lot and was very smart. Every day we had at least two safaris, breakfeast, meal and...

This "camp" is a well kept secret of South Africa. Traveling off the main road for almost 45 mins. is your first clue that your are in for a taste of a vanishing Africa. The staff is as warm and welcoming as you could possibly want and try to anticipate your every need. Garonga is a place that will leave...

Wow! Garonga is a great safari camp. We have been on safari numerous times and this place hit all the marks and then some. Only 6 "tents" so no more than 12 guests at a time. The tents are actually small, very posh concrete houses with mesh windows and front flap enclosures that make it feel like a luxury tent....

Thanks indeed Nancy for a very positive feedback. You certainly found the Game. There are no aircons in the Tents, only fans, however all three suites at Little Garonga are fully air conditioned. It was a pleasure hosting you. Best Regards Bernie
