The jeep is open top with tiered seating and seats 9 comfortably over 3 rows, however max # of guests at N'Kaya at any one time is 8. I can honestly say that you will have no problem getting quality photographs as the driver ensures getting as close to the animals as possible, i.e. within 10 feet ish enabling everyone to get a great view.
