I really cannot say enough good things about our experience here. My wife and I stayed here for three nights and had a great time. Werner (guide), Andreas (tracker), and Nikki & Andre (staff) are all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Werner is probably the best wildlife guide we have ever had the pleasure of working with, bar none. His... More

The lodge is extremely comfortable and all the staff helpful and knowledgeable. The game drives, both day and night, were full of close-up photo opportunities. Strongly recommend it to wildlife and bird fanatics alike.

This was our fifth trip to South Africa and our first stay at N'Kaya. I had high expectations after reading the online reviews and I was not disappointed. The camp has a relaxing and intimate feel. Our welcome with warm towels and a beverage did not feel scripted, just sincere and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and quite comfortable.... More

Our family had a wonderful time at N'kaya. The game viewing was exceptional and the guides were engaged, informative and entertaining. Sitting a few yards from a leopard eating a kill was an incredible experience! The managers went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. I am both vegan and gluten free and really wasn't... More

There are some places that I've returned to where my lovely memories have been spoiled by a new reality. This is definitely NOT the case with N'kaya Lodge. If anything, this trip was even better than my first encounter 18 months ago. The lodge is intimate, having only four rooms. Each is an individual cottage with a bedroom, living room,... More

I can hardly say enough good things about our experience at N'Kaya game lodge. The accommodation was spacious, with excellent wi-fi, good air-conditioning, and both a shower and a bathtub in our two-room cabin. The food was plentiful and delicious for breakfast, 'high tea', and dinner. The game drives were outstanding, and we were expertly guided to see some incredible... More

My wife and I are very savvy international travelers. We both agree that our time at this lodge is most likely the best four days of our life. I'm not joking. The staff, the service, the food, the cabin / rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms and the game drives were all just amazing. We booked through a travel... More

We were at N’Kaya the same time as Louisa (review below) and family and endorse all written 100%. They really are all the very best of hosts with Andres leading the way and Lene who provided us with the most sumptuous meals every day; the best ever dining from breakfast , high tea, evening meals and the braai – wonderful... It is almost impossible to put into words the amazing experience we all had as a family at N'Kaya Lodge; I shall try....We were dropped at the larger 5 star Waterside Lodge on arrival at Thornybush and awaited our transfer to N'kaya. We were collected by Andrew, a very quiet, gentle man who we discovered was to be our 'tracker'... More

While I had looked at the pictures online, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when my friends and I arrived at N'Kaya Lodge. Whatever I imagined, N'kaya far exceeded my expectations. N'kaya only has 4 rooms (which are absolutely beautiful) which made our stay very intimate. We were the only guests our first few days, which was amazing! Here... More
