Service, Service and one of the best service, The team here is all about experience, discipline and to ensure that you enjoy this as your new home away from home. We stayed here for the first 3 nights and were welcomed by the best team. The lady manager (sorry i could not remeber her name) was absolutley the soul of this place. Welcomed by her and team everytime we returned from the safari and be by the dinner / lunch table and ensurr we have the great expreince. Telling us stories and we were even lucky to see the 3 very thirsy Lions, a entire tribe of elephants and some adorable water loving Giraffes by the pond near the lodge which was such a delight. Our ranger and the guide were absolutley great personlaities, they were so imformative, fearless, passionate and truly dedicated to chase and show us the true jungles. They took chance, used their knowldged and expreince, managed their networks and personalized our expereince. They do this day in and day out, but not once they made us feel that this is something daily for them. I cannot thank you all enough. They had great smiles toooa and a patience of a mother.…
Had a truly wonderful time at Serondella Lodge in Thorneybush. Saw the big 5 and lots more. The lodge is on a waterhole so there is always lots of animal activity. Great ranger and tracker. Good food. Great staff. All round excellent. A recommend.
Absolutely loved my time at Serodella meeting all of the animals and learning about life in the bush. The lodge is beautiful and Chewie and Monica are incredible hosts. The highlight was watching animals at the waterhole between drives!
Serondella means tracking together. Unfortunately our visit coincided with extensive rains (136mm in 36 hours) and it affected game drives. Tracking becomes a challenge. Despite comfortable ponchos that kept us dry, the rain was stinging our faces. Roland and Beni tried their best but the elements proved stronger. Pity. I like small game lodges and Serondella is one of the nicest I have stayed in Thornybush. This is my 12th visit to the Thornybush game reserve and I would love to return here ASAP. It has a beautiful layout and nice view of water hole. The chalets are very comfortable with all the amenities one gets accustomed to. Roland, Larissa and their team was fantastic. Nothing was too much to make our stay and the food was delicious. Thank you. Had it been for a better weather I would’ve given this more than 5 stars…
Our group of 6 stayed for three nights in this magical place. Accommodations exceeded expectations as did the meals and service at the lodge. Everyone went out of their way to to ensure our stay was perfect. Feedback on sustainability was immediately acted on and corrected which only proved to us that the guests were as valued as the wildlife and our environment. And speaking of wildlife....what a show! Every day was a new adventure. Special thanks to the expert guides and trackers who really helped us join in their love of the animals. We saw it all and learned a lot. This turned out to be a true highlight of my visit to beautiful South Africa.
