We had 3 nights at the wonderful Camp. Highlights of the stay were our two game drives (morning and night) with our guide Jeffrey and tracker Stanley, who were very informative, always happy and made sure we plenty of photo opportunities. We saw the Big 5 more than once, and ticked of on about 25 other animals and quite a... More

We stayed for two nights at the Southern Camp in Kapama. The stay includes two game drives per day which as you might expect are the highlight of the stay. Our guide and tracker were Doctor and Brian respectively and if you go I'd suggest seeking them out. They worked very hard to provide the best possible experience during the... More

We stayed here 3 nights in a regular cabin. It was still lovely with a nice en suite bathroom, a small porch off the sliding glass doors to sit and enjoy the view of the bush. We had game drives of around 3 hours each twice a day. Can't possibly complain when we saw the Big 5, including a leopard... More

I really loved my safari stay at the Southern Camp. I can't speak for the other lodges, but I had a fantastic time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and always up for questions or tracking any animal we were hoping to see. We ended up seeing the Big 5 within the first four or so game drives we had!. It... More

There are 4 camps. Southern is OK (Karula is better). Everything is excellent - room, service, food, safari. You really feel on rest - everything possible is being done for you. I would recommend swimming in afternoon, the water is not too cold. And try to get Mr. Doctor as a ranger - he is superb!

ROOM: We stayed in a suite with a private deck and pool. It was spacious, incredibly clean, and comfortable. Our two-night stay in this room was a great way to end our trip to South Africa! We sat at our pool one day and watched three giraffes browsing about 60 feet away! SERVICE: Service from frontline staff was wonderful and... More

We - family of four - stayed at the Southern Camp in August 2015 for two days. We liked the place, hotel, rooms (as long as you don't stay in the standard rooms/suites), the game experience. But is it the perfect place to go - like for example Hilltop? No. Let me explain in detail: 1. The location is nice... More
