There are so many safari lodges to choose from in Kruger and Greater Kruger. We chose Mohlabetsi from the reviews and we were not disappointed. This is a family lodge (older kids generally) and the staff make this lodge superlative. The setting is awesome and the safari drives are fun, interesting, and informative. Staff are extremely experienced and helpful -... More

My wife and I visited from 10th-13th July 2016. We were staggered by the professionalism and teamwork of the staff, especially the trackers and rangers who made sure our opportunities to see a great variety of wildlife were maximised. We were blessed with the big five (including all five in one evening drive) and the ugly five too. Hippos and... More

Where to begin? Beautiful Rondavel "cabins" with outdoor showers; lunch on the lawn and sun loungers facing the open terrain so that one can watch wildlife wander past (birds and monkeys hoping to snatch a crumb after lunch, giraffes strolling along, elephants munching on trees after dark); an outdoor braai dinner - the food is very good; two gracious hosts,... This was my second stay, this time to celebrate my 50th birthday and sons university graduation. Once again it was perfect in every aspect. With only 20 beds the staff know you very quickly and it feels like you are part of the safari family. The lodges are beautifully decorated with an alfresco shower which is wonderful in daylight but... More

This was the highlight of our trip to South Africa. Mohlabetsi is a small lodge with only 20 people staying so very intimate, with lovely grounds. The staff were so friendly, the rooms very comfortable and the food was great although not a lot of choice. Very different from a hotel, which made for a very unique experience, The safari... More

I was initially apprehensive about going on safari solo but had an outstanding experience at Mohlabetsi. The staff are friendly and attentive and the setting itself is so gorgeous that you can't help but relax! The lodge hosts up to 20 people at a time, so the feel is intimate and communal, and I soon bonded with some of the... More

We didn't really know what we were doing when we began looking for a safari in South Africa, but we were very lucky to have ended up spending 3 days at MOHLABETSI. The twice daily safaris were quite amazing for 2 people from NYC. The guides were knowledgeable. The food was very good. And our fellow guests were good company.... More

Great experience beginning with making a reservation all the way through the end of our stay. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful from start to finish. Our family lodge accommodation was perfect, lovely and spacious. I especially enjoyed showering under the stars and full moon, and the comfortable loungers both at our cabin and near the watering hole viewing. The... More

There really aren't words to express how much my family enjoyed staying at Mohlabetsi. This place is perfection, so peaceful and quaint with excellent views. We can't wait to come back to South Africa! Every aspect of our trip was excellent from the moment we arrived, to lunches on the lawn, the game drives with Karl and Doctor to dinner... More

This was our first safari experience in South Africa and what an experience it was. The propritors of this well-run lodge did everything to make our stay memorable. They were able to accommodate a vegetarian (me) as well as my carnivore husband. Our room was well-appointed and the staff-guided safaris were everything they purported to be: we had seen the...
