The Kurhula Wildlife Lodge is an absolute must-do. It's a great place to get acquainted to the African Wildlife. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and have a deck overlooking the Olifantsrivier. Kim and Sander are excellent hosts! We had a very nice stay and were sad to leave after just 2 nights.

I spent a week at this simple but comfortable lodge, right on the Olifants river. Although the water was low we saw hippos and crocodiles and of course lots of waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and vervet monkeys, plus the occasional porcupine. This was just sitting on my veranda (all the rooms have river views) or by the pool. On game drives...

Just returned from 6 wonderful days at Kurhula Lodge. Sander and Kim are excellent hosts who go out of the way to help their guests to be comfortable and enjoy the vacation they are looking for. It is a small lodge (4 rooms) on a the Olafant River inside a private reserve which gives you the extra bonus of getting...

Loved the the location, the room and the service! The meals were very good. They paid good attention to my diet. Most of all I appreciated the view on the Elephantsriver and the animals walking through the 'backyard'. I could just sit and watch them for hours and hours. We were very lucky during the gamedrives to see so many...

We were treated like long lost family. I am a vegetarian and yet the meals were absolutely incredible for me and my meat eating hubby. I loved most the wildlife all around. Elephants, monkeys, warthogs, giraffe. I appreciated tho the love of animals most about our host and hostess and that they are doing all they can to protect and...

It's not because we are Dutch that we fell in love with this lovely lodge on the banks of the Elephantsriver. Kim & Sander made us feel very welcome, the food was great (especially the braai in the boma), the game running on and off on this and the far side of the river. The dirtroad to the lodge is...

We really enjoyed our time staying at Kim and Sander's lodge. It's a small lodge with a very personal touch. What drew me to this lodge when booking was that the safaris were not included in the price of the lodging. You only pay for the trips you feel like taking. We stayed 4 nights and went on one evening...

We came to know about this place by luck. It is a bit out of the routine touristic area but gives great experience especially if you have your own vehicle. We did not so we had to rely upon the services of a local tour company. We stayed here for 6 nights and it gave us different experience each day....
