We had an amazing time at Kurhula Wildlife Lodge! Very nice and peaceful place. Enthousiastic owners, friendly staff, clean and charming room and very nice meals! The river attracts lots of animals :)

Kurhula was amazing! We wish we had booked longer! Usually after staying somewhere my husband is ready to leave and see something new or to go home to farmiliar surroundings. We left Kurhula a week ago today and he is still asking if we can turn around and go back. Kim, Sander, and Lisa were wonderful hosts and made us... More

It was a good decision to stay at Kurhula Lodge. Kim and Sander where really good hosts. Kim is a great cook as well and has a passion for almost all animals due to that she could tell us a lot of interesting storys. We had the best elephant experience when an elephant came to the lodge and was drinking... More

Okay, we arrived late in the evening and had a bit difficulty finding the right way, but once we were in touch with Sander, it worked out really well. the place is just superb, and the hosts are all you would want during your stay, social and friendly when you are up for it, but also leaving you to yourself... My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous lodge for 3 nights at the end of August. The bungalows are situated right on the tranquil Olifants River in the Balule Reserve. Sander and Kim are seriously such amazing hosts and took care of whatever we needed. Kim is an amazing cook and we enjoyed every meal she prepared for us.... More

Can't rave enough about Kurhula. Sander, Kim and Lisa were fabulous hosts who knew how to make guests feel very welcome. Kim's food was awesome. Every meal was sensational. Plenty of animal experiences to be had. Several times on our visit an elephant drank from the swimming pool. Giraffe, hippos and warthog all could be seen from the property on... More

Beautiful setting on the river deep in the Balule game park now connected to Kruger. Wild animals visit regularly ... we had elephants coming up to drink from the pool and snack from the garden, giraffe peering over the shrubbery around the house, wart hogs throughout the day coming in for a drink from a spevial pond designed for animals... You can certainly see why they have so many returning guests - it is the most tranquil setting and Kim and Sander are fantastic hosts with food to match. The weather was kind when we there and so our teenage sons made use of the pool. There were quite a few 4 legged guests during the day and night, we... More
