This lodge deserves every accolade that it has received. The exquisite attention to design detail, the anticipation of every need and the surprise and delight moments make this destination so spectacular. Design is modern, contemporary safari and 'out of Africa' look and feel. The cost is steep but the experience will be savoured and remembered long after you have left this piece of paradise. The highly experienced staff will ensure that you are not disappointed - each and every member of the professional Singita team ensures that the incredibly high standards of delivery are never compromised - there is absolutely nothing that is missing. The luxurious suites have their own private pools jutting out and overlooking the banks of the river. The floor to ceiling windows ensure that you never miss a magnificent sunset or sunrise as you watch the activity across the river and perhaps even occasional leopard passing by too. The incredibly knowledgable and experience game ranger and tracker ensured we did not miss any of the Big 5. Paul and Emmanuel were exceptional, sharing their experiences, knowledge, passion and love of the wild. The stops for early morning coffee and sundowner cocktails in the bush did not disappoint either. I enjoyed the brunch and dinner dining options with no worry of ever being hungry as plenty of snacks available at your whim. Bartender serving fabulous ice cold G& T 's with all the trimmings before, after or during a game drive - what a treat !! Barrister serving the most delicious coffee and cappuccino's. Food choices follow latest trends that ensure there are plenty healthy options available. The selection and menu caters for everyone and special dietary needs are taken into considerations - some hard choices to make. Quality and presentation of food was spectacular and fresh. Feasting under the stars in the boma with the sounds of the African drums and dancers was another great experience. I feel privileged as a South African to have had the opportunity to spend 2 nights at this incredible lodge and can certainly concur, that this property deserves to be voted and rated as one of the best in the world. We flew direct into the lodge with Federal Air which I would also highly recommend. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and management - was such a treat !!!…
This is an amazing place, they make you feel like family and nothing is too much. The trackers and guide are outstanding they teach you things as you go. We had Martin as a tracker and Garret as a guide and they made a great team finding sometimes what others didn’t. The group of guides work well in radioing what they are seeing so others can come to the spot. Never crowding the animals and being respectful of the environment. The lodge itself is beautiful with a luxury outdoor natural feel. The food is excellent and lots to offer. They go above an beyond to satisfy every whim you might have
We went to Singita Boulders for our honeymoon. Coming from the US - this was a big trip for us and we had been researching for months which safari/lodge to book. We read all the reviews, read all the blogs and ultimately picked Singita as it has the best reputation. Yes, it is more expensive than other safaris you will find but it’s completely, 100%, worth it. It exceeded ALL expectations from the moment you arrive. The lodge & room: beautiful accommodations, the decor is stunning. You want to take it all home and use in your own house. The rooms are so big and comfortable. You have your own pool to relax in after drives! We had one of the two bush suites - it was perfect! You have your own private view of a watering hole that attracts all kinds of animals. The drives: every game drive we took was incredible. We saw the big 5 within the first couple days. Our guide, Chene, and our tracker, Ruel, were nothing short of amazing. Both so knowledgeable and passionate about the ecosystem & the wildlife - it was incredible. When we come back we will definitely be requesting them to take us into the bush again! The food: delicious, every single meal. The menu is thoughtfully crafted each day and the options had something for everyone! It was truly the best food we had our entire 3 week stint in South Africa. We had everything from homemade pastas to sea bass The wine: they have their own private cellar! We did a lovely wine tasting there with Melissa, the sommelier. She took care of us our entire stay with special parings for whatever was on the menu - incredible!!! The people: all amazing! Special thanks to the entire staff at the lodge that truly made our trip unforgettable: Warrick, Ben, Selina! We think back often about how amazing our time there was and can not wait to return!!…
Where to begin......there is absolutely nothing one can fault about the service at Singita lodges Exceptional quality architecture and vibe, fine dining food (in abundance - they feed you constantly) and impeccable service. Their tours are exceptional and the ultimate luxury way to experience Africa At the time of writing I have visited 5 lodges over 5 years and would love to visit them all!
We did 3/3 nights at two of the Singita properties in South Africa: Boulders and Lebombo. While this is our first ever safari experience, we had truly amazing and impeccale experience at both properties. Singita delivered an ultra luxurious, indigenous, and special experience seamlessly and consistently. The Boulders property is one of Singita's three properties at Sabi Sand area where wild life is abundant and the landscape surrounding the Sand river is lush and picturesque. I can go on and on about the experience...below are few highlights from our stay at Boulders I will always fondly remember and look forward to coming back in the near future: 1) sitting on the bank of the Sand river, Boulder lodge blends beautifully with its nature surrounding...rustic and luxurious. My favorite experience is overlooking elephants feeding across the valley by sand river while enjoying a deliciously prepared lunch in open air and sipping a glass of lovely rose from Franschhoek. 2) The villas are beautifully and generously built (at least 1200 sq ft), spacious, natural and earthy in color hues, aesthetically decorated....giving a very calming, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. 3) The room amenities are thoughtfully curated: house made snack jars, plenty of wine/liquors, natural bath products, arts and crafts in case you are artistic, on top of a private pool and all the standard amenities at a luxury hotels. 4) The staff are like family...I don't mean it in a cliche way. They know you on first name basis, know your food likes/dislikes, genuinely enjoy hearing about your game drive experience, and tireless preparing your favorite flat white at 5:30am and even put in a sippy cup for the drive! 5) Last but certainly not least, our guide and tracker were so incrediblely knowledgeable, professional but yet fun to be around, and always on the lookout to find us the next sighting. We owe our spectacular safari experience to Joffers and Johnson!…
