We enjoyed a lovely re-visit to Along The River RV park out side Ruidoso NM.
On our previous visit, we stayed in one of the 2 cabins they have. This trip, we brought our newly acquired RV, knowing Along the River was perfect for camping. The owners work diligently to keep the campsites user friendly and clean. The also bring firewood and burn buckets if you so desire. This is a great place and we will visit again.

Love this campground! The hosts were very polite, inviting, and treated us like family. They asked us if we would like an upgrade to full hook up site. They helped us move and set up. The facilities and ground are very clean and wad just an overall relaxing weekend.

Along the River is a beautiful RV park with large lots for RV parking. It the perfect spot for a quick trip to Enchanted Vines winery. The RV spots are clean, their are also cabins that are available for rent.

When we arrived to the campsite, we could not believe how close each lot was to one another. We were also told our dog was to be on a leash. We have been to many RV parks before and walked our dog around the park with a leash.,but kept our dog who is a very well behaved golden retriever Free on our property site… We were asked by the owners to chain him up this is never happened to us before. The second thing that is horrible is the noise from the road. A “ very busy traffic area and that’s all you hear along the river ..traffic ! You can’t hear the little stream runs in front of you.
And if you have screaming children next to you ,management won’t do anything about it… only concerned about your dog being off the leash!
Would not recommend this RV site… Too noisy too close to one another

Just as the name implies, this RV park is along the "river". More like a babbling brook but still nice. We stayed in a tent site by the stream. Which was probably not the best idea since everyone else in the park comes through your campsite to get to the stream. Definitely not the place for peace and quiet either. It is located right next to the highway and the traffic is very noisy. They charged us extra for the fire ring which I thought should have been included for what they charge per night. Sites are very close together so not a lot of privacy. The bathroom were very clean and do include showers. Very close to Ruidoso so if you forgot something, you can drive into town really quick. Overall not a bad location but pricey and not secluded.

With all the glowing reviews I must say we were a little disappointed this RV park. The owners weren't there and I think that must really matter. Ha. Although they treated us cordially we found the amenities lacking. The site itself is rustic and adequate. We moved to another site West of Ruidosa and are much more pleased.

The location is just a few miles outside of Ruidoso. A small creek seperated the tent campers from the RV park. Our tent site was secluded but within walking distance of restrooms and showers. The owners made sure that each camper had enough ice and firewood available with delivery to each site. Wi-fi is also a plus! My young sons had an unforgettable camping experience and I will return to this oasis in the forest for many years.

We came to celebrate Thanksgiving for a mini vacation. Although weather was not co operative. it was interesting. Seeing the deer and being in the mountains was just what we needed .Thanksgiving night into Friday it rained sleeted, hailed, snowed, hailed sleeted rain thunder lighting.. we thought that was pretty kewl. Unfortunately the entrance to the RV park is a hill and was a complete sheet of ice. we needed to get o ut to go to the pharmacy for medicine for diabetes. Park owner did not salt or sand. SUnday when we finally went to leave, We as other RV folks , we had 2 inches of ice on the slides, It took us well into 1 pm to clear the ice. The park owners never came over to see if any of us needed help or if we were ok, In fact. when we finally got the ice cleared, the battery on the RV was dead and the slides would not go in. we hooked up AC power , no power.. The owners were in such a hurry to leave ( we were the last) that shut all the power off. we did finally find o ne outlet still working and we were able to continue. I work in hospitality, you NEVER leave any guests beind.. You check to see they are ok. Theres no cell service out there and their wifi mostly does not work If we had needed a tow , well we would probably still be there, It used to be our favorite place, but there are many other places in Ruidoso to go to,

We stayed there for 2 nights in a tent. We had a wonderful tent site. I believe it was T12, it's secluded, but also a quick walk to the showers/bathroom. The river was right below us and you could hear it all night. Also has deer come right up to us.

we've never been to a more pleasant camp ground. The sites have been leveled. they have green turf for the tents, fire wood available on site and the bathrooms are always clean and cool in the summer. The river runes through the campground so the kids can play and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. we'll be going back to Ruidoso again in the spring and there is no other rv park that I would consider staying at. Two thumbs up to the new owners who seem to be doing upgrades constantly.

Thank you, Dave. We appreciate your support of our enforcement of the park rules. In our opinion, rules are of no use if they are not enforced. We want to provide each and every one of our guests with a quiet, peaceful, and memorable experience.
