Really enjoyed staying at the cabin..Dorothy was very helpful and nice. We were able to relax and enjoy the lake, which was not too far away. It was my kids' first time at a cabin, and they were enjoying it so much they were NOT even on their cell phones! Would definitely stay here again!

Michael and Dorothy Schlitt treat their guests like family. They know what's fun to do and see nearby. I love listening to the river behind "our" cabin. Every time we return, we notice something new; sometimes it's redecorating, sometimes it's something new in the gardens. April is a GREAT month to visit!

Our 5-day stay at Idle Hour Lodge was great! Dorthy is very hospitable and welcoming and makes you feel like family. Our cabin, Cabin 11, was nicely decorated with Christmas lights and a small Christmas tree (great little touches). It was the perfect stay for our Christmas vacation. The location is perfect - not too far from town, within easy... More

This lodge is the perfect getaway. The cabins are very cozy and you feel like you're in the middle of the woods even though downtown is two seconds away. We had a very warm welcome and a very comfortable stay. Everything was clean and neat. These guys are awesome. On top of all of that the property has beautiful views... More

My family and I stayed a week at Idle Hour Lodge and we were amazed at the rustic beauty of the entire property. Beauty everywhere! All the cabins were very cute, warm, and inviting. We stayed in #11 this time. The amenities were perfect...clean linens, coffee maker, microwave, fridge were all available. We had an amazing time and absolutely love... More

In September a couple of buddies and I stayed at the Lodge for the fourth year in a row for the Golden Aspen Rally. As always the experience was wonderful. The rustic cabin, cleanliness, friendly owners and the usual crowd of deer made our weekend. Once Dorothy found out it was my 75th birthday, she had a scrumptious apple pie... More

Had a nice cabin and was greeted by mule deer every morning! The place was easy to find and the host and hostess are wonderful people! I'm going back again this fall. The area is great for motorcycle touring.

Cozy cabins with rustic charm, scenic views from our cabin's deck... towering pine trees, deer, and the river below, made for a most memorable stay. Owners Dorothy and Michael Schlitt made sure that we had everything we needed; we felt right at home with their warm hospitality! As for the location, it is the perfect blend of being close to... Absolutely loved staying here! Quiet and convenient location. Comfortable and clean cabins. Had everything we needed :) Dorothy was wonderful hostess!!! My children loved being able to walk around/play outside and watch the deer. One evening we are able to grill steaks (grill by playground) eat at picnic table and then played horseshoes. Highly recommend!!! Thank you for a wonderful... More

Small cabins that feel like cabins. Very cozy. Great value. Off the beaten path just enough to not hear the highway but close enough to walk to restaurants and a grocery store. They provide almost every amenity including outdoor grills. Great experience!!
