Arathusa is a beautiful place. The rooms are amazing - very spacious, beautiful decor and fittings and a wonderful outdoor shower (there's also an indoor one but we never used that !!) The communal areas are also really nice, with a bar and pool with sunbeds. The staff are very

Am not sure of any such advice as we were facing the waterhole but I can’t see any reason why someone can’t step out for a smoke at night. We were out in front a lot near the waterhole (which didn’t have water) but there were animals around at night in the dry waterhole and it didn’t feel unsafe.

I have mailed same question last year (2017/09), and this is the answer from hotel: “The closer airport to Arathusa is called Hoedspruit approx 1hr 20 min drive from this airport to the lodge. The cost of a road transfer is R1147per person one way. The next airport is Nelspruit approx 3hrs road transfer cost is R1385 per person per way.”

End of march is still wet season the grass will be longer. The trackers and rangers are exelent and will find all the game, but remember the viewing may not be quite as clear as duri ng the dry season.

Adapters are NOT provided. I would suggest you purchase one before you go. Bed, Bath and Beyond has a good selection. Or you can check online. You should not have to spend more tha $20-25. Just make sure it says South Africa. Hope this helps.

"if you're adventurous, pick a bush facing lodge which is little secluded with private pool."
"I think Bush or Watering hole are both good options. Depends on your wants."
"Bush facing rooms are huge and more private, you are not allowed to leave the room in darkness without a member of staff for safety."
"Would recommend the waterhole facing suites. Avoid the suites at the far end of the property - more noise, particularly at night."
"Bush facing rooms have plunge pools that are frequented by elephants/leopards"
