Arathusa is an amazing introduction to a safari experience. On our first game drive we had sighting of leopard mating -when the rangers and trackers say this is rare you realise how lucky you are. Ryan and Debere were extremely knowledgeable and readily shared their expertise with the guests during drives. Our lodge, Marula, was spacious and the furthest from... More

I just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa, a trip with five other women to celebrate the 50th birthday of a friend, and our three-night stay at Arathusa was a huge highlight. I didn't know what to expect going in. The lodging, the food (the AMAZING food), the staff and the animals ... it's so hard to sum... More

My husband Justen and I visited Arathusa as part of our Honeymoon in July. It was our first Safari experience and so we booked eight days and did 14 game drives! Quite unusual for Safari as it turns out! We talked about skipping the odd one to rest but it's impossible as they are AMAZING! Arathusa is a magical place... More

Just returned from the experience of my life time and the Arathusa Safari Lodge just outside of Kruger National Park was one of the primary reasons it was a trip I will never forget. Our Ranger (Sean) and guide (Refe) were fantastic. Others will say this but we did see animals that haven't been seen in over a year. The... More

I stayed in June whilst in SAF for business. I did a lot of comparison between sites in Sabi area. Arathusa was beyond my expectation in every aspect (guides x2 on vehicle, accomodation, food) and at a much better price point than other private lodges in same area. Great traversing rights with nearby properties and my guides were faultless. Even... More

One of the biggest reasons to come to South Africa is the opportunity to see animals in there natural habitat. Arathusa not only provides that but does it in a 4 star setting. The rooms were very nice, even the standard room had an amazing bathroom. With 6 hours of safari rides each day the room was not as important... More

Arathusa was one of the most amazing travel experiences we've had. We flew in to the lodge airstrip which connects via South African airlines Comair and taken to the lodge (3 mins drive). The welcome with hot towels and a drink was great and was an example of the wonderfully friendly service the staff provide. We stayed in Jackleberry which... More

We picked Arathusa because it's located at a large water hole so many animals "come to you". I was having some health problems at the time and felt if I couldn't go on a game drive I could at least see lots of animals from their lounge area...Fortunately I was fine. Our room had not been refurbished but was still... More

Absolutely amazing place! The location was brilliant with the view of the waterhole where elephants, Buffaloes and hippos joined every single day. Every meal was different and exciting (there are a selection of options for all 3 meals). Apartment lodge 3 was superb and had a view of the waterhole, very clean, tidy and beautiful. I understand the posher rooms... More

My second visit to Arathusa and WOW, totally blown away with how the lodge is looking - I love it !!! We stayed in a WATER facing luxury room offering views of the waterhole and close to main lodge, lounge & dinning area. Rooms are stunning and spacious and amenities are top class! Important point, the BUSH facing luxury rooms... More
