I love the rhythm of life on safari and no one does it better than the folks at Nottens. The personal early wake up knock on your door announces the beginning of a great adventure. ALL of the staff is gracious, thoughtful, and efficient. After a cup of coffee it's off to search for game and we were never disappointed.... More

I spent quite a bit of time looking at all the bush camps in the area. Criteria included rustic, maybe no electricity, but comfortable and good guide reviews. We did not want to stay in a large resort, wanted limited guests. Notten's is the place. From the airport it is about 1 1/2 hours by taxi/jeep through some towns and... More

I would recommend Notten's Bush Camp to anyone wishing to have a unique African Safari experience. I was there for three nights in July 2016 with my husband, our daughters (age 11 and 14) and my 73 year old mother. We all feel that Notten’s is a very special place, and Dave (one of the Notten family members), is the... More

Our first stay at Notten's will not be our last. Only home for 1 week & I'm already figuring out how/when we can get back there! The people are amazing-many generations who have been there for decades. From Dave, the owner, to Joe our ranger, we were always in professional, competent and loving hands. The food was fresh, abundant and... More

This was the second camp I stayed at on my recent three weeks in South Africa and Zambia. It's in a great setting with most rooms and the public rooms overlooking the bush. Fun to eat lunch and watch the baboons running about, or an Impala or some other interesting animal. My cabin was large and very comfortable. My bed... More

There is so much good to say about this camp - the property, the rooms, the service, the way it's run. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I'll start with the property itself. You get there by jeep or van, and the roads are not paved for the most part, so be ready for a bumpy ride! There are two... More

Wow! What a place! In the heart of Sabi Sand private game reserve, there's a wonderful place. Beautiful decorated. Special rooms all light by candles. Delicious food. Superb hospitality, good game drives and bush walks. What else can I say? We were fortunate to visit there and the only problem we met is that we had to leave at the... More

During our 6 day Safari holidays in Sabi Sands we stayed at Notten’s Bush Camp for 2 nights from June 08th - 10th 2016. It was good fortune that at least a room was available because the camp has a good reputation and is fully booked mostly all of the year - and there are good reasons for. The rooms... More

We had such a beautiful room and amazing experience at Notten’s. Our guide, Thomas, and our tracker, Kenneth, did a wonderful job of covering everyone’s interests and the terrain. They also went out of their way to accommodate us upon arrival - our flight was delayed about an hour eating into our first evening game drive, but they made sure... More

We loved this place. It really was a magical experience to stay at this intimate privately owned lodge. From the moment we arrived Dale and his team went the extra mile to ensure we had an amazing stay. We loved the accommodation, the food was amongst the best we had during our five week stay in Africa. Plenty of fresh... More
