When we first arrived at Cheetah lodge and were brought to our room (the Cottage, since we were with 3adults and the cottage sleeps 4) we were a little disappointed. The room looked a little bit outdated and could use some updating. However it was clean and had all the

Greetings from Cheetah Plains, dvanmeer! Thank you so much for penning such a positive review - as we close for our exciting rebuild, the current team derives much satisfaction from your praise and kind words! As the four areas you highlight, namely staff, food, atmosphere & drives, are the aspects within our control that we strive to deliver on, your words have provoked broad smiles from all! May your memories of your time with us keep you warm over there in Antwerp! Wild wishes Gary

Where do I start? Everything was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and that’s all that mattered to us. The food was AMAZING and you could eat as much as you want. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, to name a few- Hallie, Rejoice, Goodman, Sam. There are two I want to

Warm greetings, MoonwraithMoon! What a fabulous review - thank you! I passed on your warm compliments to Ralph and got the benefit of his beaming smile in response! You certainly got to enjoy sightings of a broad range of wildlife which testifies to our privileged location, and your appreciation of the sightings is great to witness. It was also good to hear of your enjoyment of the communal atmosphere; I think there is often a real connection created among guests which enhances the whole wildlife safari experience. Wild wishes Gary

Wild greetings from the Bush! Thank you for your warmly positive review, giantsgrl! Yes, we are certainly fortunate in our special setting; you will be happy to know that the hippos are still contentedly frolicking in the dam, occasionally disturbed by a parade of elephant intent on cooling off! The wildlife sightings have been rich of late and the bush is a lovely healthy green - all great at Cheetah Plains! Wild wishes Gary

Cheetah Plains is a super lodge in an area with fairly good game sightings. The guide was very flexible regarding the client's wishes. Everything was included and the service was really good as was the food. Right at the lodge is a small lake where quite a few hippos could be

Greetings, 517uwew! Thank you for taking the time to write those kind words! I'm pleased to report that the 'float' of hippos are still happily wallowing in the home dam, occasionally being disturbed by a 'parade' of elephant who come to frolic and cool down in the water - much to our great entertainment. The nyala and bushbuck continue to pass through the lodge to enjoy our vegetation, while our sleep gets occasionally disturbed by yowling hyena and the unmistakable reverberation of lion - all good in Africa! Wild wishes Gary

I've left comments before on Cheetah Plains, but having just returned from our fourth visit in 15 years and enjoyed it as much if not more than previous occasions, I think a further report is warranted! Cheetah Plains is, to me, the ideal safari lodge. The rooms are lovely,

Greetings, Gunnerjanet! Thank you for the glowing words! This means a lot to us - particularly as you are such an experienced visitor. It is truly gratifying to know that our standards have not slipped over the years. You will have to aim for a fifth visit after our re-build so that we can top the experience! And maybe we can convince last night's sighting - a pangolin, replete with baby on back - to make a special guest appearance for you! Wild wishes Gary
