I have traveled to exactly 46 countries and never imagined a little ranch in Roswell would be the greatest adventure of my life. As a Single mom took my 8&9 yr old boys to the ranch with hope of instilling a sense of wanderlust and love of nature, and this is exactly what I got. Let go of expectations, schedules,...

Excellent experience on a working cattle ranch in New Mexico. Knowledgeable professionals deal with you at your level and see that you have a safe and meaningful exposure to ranch life. I grew up watching the Disney series with Annette Funicello and always wanted to try my hand at being a cowboy. This was exactly that. A spinoff that I...

We had an amazing time at Burnt Well! Kim and Patricia are amazing hosts and their family Tye, Rebecca and their boys are precious! Tye showed off by catching and killing a coyote and rattle snake with only a rope and knife, taught us how to brand calves, then impressed us with his NFR skills :). Kim is an excellent...

A rare opportunity to live alone side the Chesser family for a few days, they are third generation New Mexico Ranchers we roped and branded cattle, ate great food and finished the days in the hot tub! We were immersed in the Cowboy life style from the moment we arrive, the warm and friendly hospitality, great horse back riding and...

During a four month road trip I was lucky enough to spend a week at Burnt Well and it was one of my absolute highlights. The horses are gorgeous and incredibly responsive. You have the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of ranch work under the brilliant guidance of Kim and Tye. And at the end of the day...

You could hear there - a whole remuda of dogies and cayuses, what means a great throng of calves and ponies. So if you want to visit this wonderful rancho, welcome there and you won't be disappointed the least jot.

We loved every minute of the trip and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a proper working ranch, to see and learn what daily life is like, to be welcomed into the family and you'll have a lot of fun too! We will definitely be back.

Our adventure at Burnt Well Guest Ranch was a once in a lifetime experience. The views were exquisite and the 15,000 acres of land was inspiring. We have never been so relaxed and so exhausted at the same time--exactly what we wanted. The riding was amazing--and each ride was more incredible than the one before. It wasn't just the riding...

It's been nearly two weeks since my stay at the Burnt Well Ranch, and I still can't wipe this smile off my face or this happiness from my heart. Amazing is the only word you can use to describe Burnt Well. Amazing country - amazing people - amazing place to stay. I was here during a branding week (April 2015)...

“I think the Casita with its full kitchen is a good idea if you think you want to supplement your diet with some of your own home cooking. However, the bunkhouse was very comfortable and had some amenities such as a pool table.”
