During a four month road trip I was lucky enough to spend a week at Burnt Well and it was one of my absolute highlights. The horses are gorgeous and incredibly responsive. You have the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of ranch work under the brilliant guidance of Kim and Tye. And at the end of the day... More

You could hear there - a whole remuda of dogies and cayuses, what means a great throng of calves and ponies. So if you want to visit this wonderful rancho, welcome there and you won't be disappointed the least jot.

We loved every minute of the trip and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a proper working ranch, to see and learn what daily life is like, to be welcomed into the family and you'll have a lot of fun too! We will definitely be back.

Our adventure at Burnt Well Guest Ranch was a once in a lifetime experience. The views were exquisite and the 15,000 acres of land was inspiring. We have never been so relaxed and so exhausted at the same time--exactly what we wanted. The riding was amazing--and each ride was more incredible than the one before. It wasn't just the riding... It's been nearly two weeks since my stay at the Burnt Well Ranch, and I still can't wipe this smile off my face or this happiness from my heart. Amazing is the only word you can use to describe Burnt Well. Amazing country - amazing people - amazing place to stay. I was here during a branding week (April 2015)... More

Excellent escape from our fast past everyday lives. Accomodations were very nice, food excellent and our hosts were wonderful! Horses were excellent---enjoyed moving cattle around. Wonderful family felt like we had always known them. Authentic ranch experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Casita with our three children (11, 9, and 3) for two nights. The Trip was everything we had expected and more. The Casita is beautiful, well furnished, and well maintained. My kids loved the loft. The ranch is beautiful. We loved walking around the grounds, visiting the horses, and getting to see cattle... My wife had not been fortunate enough to experience life on a working ranch. For me, this was just like when I was a young man working on a wheat/cattle ranch in Oklahoma. The only difference was is you were allowed to choose just how much you wanted to participate in the daily work and life on the ranch and... More

Exactly what I was looking for in a ranch vacation. The Chesser family is one of the most gracious and accommodating that you will ever meet. The bunkhouse has everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Patricia's meals were amazing and satisfying, Kim and Ty's instructions around the ranch were thoughtful and helpful. You decide at what level you... More
