If you're planning a little getaway to Red River, I highly recommend staying here! The cabins are so cute and peaceful!! I can't wait until our next visit...everything about it was perfect!! The staff was so pleasant and helpful. We were driving home and there was a storm coming so they checked the roads for us and told us the... More

Me and my friend stayed in cabin 19. It was one of the most relaxing getaways I've been in a while. Amy in the office was very helpful explaining all of the activities in the area. The deers that came and ate out of our hands was the highlight! The cabins are secluded away from the main road, only a... More

We loved staying at the Rio Colorado. The cabin was clean and the heater worked great! The only downside was that the floor and cabin was so crooked. One side of the cabin went down then you would have to climb up on the other side. Its was pretty bad...But, we still loved our stay! I will definately stay again!... More

We stayed in cabin 16. From the reviews thought this was a nice place. Cabin was old, nothing remodeled. Carpet and tile floors were worn out and dirty. One of the worst places we have ever stayed. Never again.

We have stayed at many different places in Red River and The Rio Colorado Lodge is a great place to stay. Friendly people and wonderful cabins. I recommend this place. You can fish in the pond that they stock. We like to stay in the cabin by the river. The fireplaces are wonderful and they have BBQ pits if you... More

Rio Colorado is a cabin type business in Red River, New Mexico. We stayed in cabin #24. It has been remodeled for the most part. The fireplace is covered with river rock which looks really nice. The fishing pond was stocked every Wednesday. The remodeling doesn't appear to cover the couch or the mattress for the bed. My wife and... More

We made our first trip to Red River on June 4 - June 6th. We stayed at Rio Colorado Lodge, recommended by friends. This was the best place to stay, very nice people running it and the accomodations were great. There was private pond for fishing if you choose to, we didnt fish but enjoyed sitting on our deck and... More

I stayed in cabin 14 which was located adjacent to the fishing pond, which was frozen in February, overlooking the Red river. I totally enjoyed the remodeled cabins which were equipped with a full kitchen including a microwave, coffee maker, a full size refrigerator, and a complete set of pots, pans, and dishes. This cabin has a sleeping loft rather... More

Me and my friends stayed in Cabin 16 from January 11-15 and it was just perfect. It was a 5 minute walk to the copper lift so no waking up 2 hours early for snowboarding. The cabin was nice and cozy. You could heat it up with the good ole fireplace or the space heater. Whichever you prefer! And the... More

We stayed in Cabin 21 from 12/22 through 12/27, and once again we had an excellent stay at the Rio Colorado. The cabin is one of two that are located right at the base of the mountain. You have to cross the Red River on a small bridge but these two cabins are very quiet and secluded. Cabin 21 has... More
