This is our second time to the park and we will definitely be back! George and Gloria are just the best ever, they provide great service and are friendly and always ready to help out and answer questions. The park has full hook-ups, very nice laundry, and showers/bathrooms if you need them. It's a short walk into town if you're so inclined. The Red River is literally on one side of the campground. It's a public park fishing area, but everyone has always been polite and respectful. You can fish out the back of your space! There are also spaces along the other, non-river side. It's less than a minute to walk to the river, so no bad spaces, imo. Red River is a year-round resort town, good restaurants, shopping, grocery store, hardware store, etc. There is a dog park in town also, which is great when traveling with pups. Questa is nearby with a couple dollar stores if you need them. Close to hiking, rafting, fishing, horseback riding, jeep tours, etc.

My husband, lab, and I stayed here for two full weeks during the off season (end of May) and it was glorious! The park owners, Gloria and George, were incredibly kind and attentive to our needs. There were a mix of families, couples, and solo travelers so the park welcomes all. We work and travel full-time so wifi and reception is important to us. The park does offer fiber internet but we had no issues using our Verizon hotspot and the reception (2 bars) was just fine. Do yourself a favor and grab a spot right by the river, its very peaceful and the river drowns out the road noise. Finally, the entire town is within walking distance of the park which I really liked. This is a great park to stay in when you visit Red River!

He packs people in like they are SARDINES! No privacy! Insisted we buy a special screw on dump valve for attaching to their sewer pipe, which looked to small for a standard sewer hose to fit into anyways. Insisted on escorting us to our site, and barked orders like I didn't know how to reverse my RV into a campsite, which came across as sexist, and felt like an insult to my intelligence. Wouldn't let us move to a (vacant) closer site to the bathroom, since both my mom & I are handicapped; said the vacant space was already assigned to someone else who was not there yet; which made it strike 3 for us, and we chose to leave & went to a far better RV park: 4K River Ranch, that was SO MUCH BETTER!

The RV park is very crowded, and no seclusion at all. Nice river area to back up to. It’s easy to stay out of trouble as long as you follow the instruction sheet exactly, but there is a “drill sergeant “ there named George , that chooses to bark orders at you and everyone else packed in there the whole time. By our last day, I had a plan for making a sharp turn to exit, and of course, it wasn’t to the drill sergeant’s liking. At one point he started hollering at me and I felt I had to stand up for myself and wife. During this confrontation, he offered to fight me, a 70 year old man. I told him that I was old but would be willing to give the fight a go. He ended up going back to his office where his friends glared at me until we drove off to the safety of the highway. If I could give it a negative review, I would. Will not return. They charged a nice young couple from Kerrville, Tx. $25. Just to empty their tanks. George makes it a joke of a spot to visit!

Disappointed in the size and appearance of this RV park and surprised that rating was so high. There are nicer, more scenic RV parks in Red River. We weren’t sure we could even get our 32 ft trailer and dually parked and opted to move to another RV park.

Looked at multiple locations and kept coming back to Red River RV Park. So glad we did! Great park, amazing owners and the river was right at our back door. Our dogs loved walking across the road to an old cemetery in the hills. It was perfect. Can't say enough about how much we loved it. We will be back every year from now on if not more often. Love that it is a smaller park so there aren't a lot of people all over. It's perfect.

If you don't mind hearing the person in the next RV clearing their throat, or hearing the entire conversation clearly in the next RV spot then this is your place. The RV spots are packed in so tightly it verges on being just weird. I noticed many of the RV's had to compensate for the un-level sites. It is feet away from a busy highway so hopefully you don't mind heavy traffic noise. Overall this place is just awful and if I could give a fraction of a rating or even a negative rating I would. You have been warned. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the gentleman (I'm kidding) that i spoke to from management has the personality of a gargoyle.
