We arrived a bit late in the evening and the place was busy with a large group for dinner but we were taken up to our room and the restaurant made a very nice meal with good local wine. Menu prices are maybe a little bit high for the area, but this reflects the excellent quality. Hotel is an interesting old building The room was comfortable with lots of wood decoration. Breakfast was very nice with personal service. The location at Nyul is convenient for visiting Pannonhalma and the town of Gyor. Driving from Budapest the hotel was a bit hard to find for the first time in the dark so it is worth being clear on directions.

We came to have a lunch, hoping to find a friendly place with good Hungarian food. And it was a perfect choice! The waiter was super-helpful, speking perfect English, taking care of us all the time we were there. We got a welcome drink (shot of a local spirit) and apetizers with their typical salami. The food was delicious and the portions were enormous! The place is children friendly, serving home-made lemonades and adjusting the meals to suit the kid´s taste. It made our day! 2000. júniusában nyitottunk. Az eddigi 20 szezon alatt sosem tűnt el egyetlen értéktárgy sem a szobákból, sem az éttermünkből.Nem számolunk fel ételt vagy italt, melyet nem rendel meg a vendég. 20 év alatt egyetlen panasz sem érkezett erre, a vendégkönyvünkben egy reklamáció sem került bejegyzésre. Ha a vendégnek netán nem ízlik valamely étel, nem fizettetjük ki, az ital esetén költségmentesen cseréljük. 8 alkalommal is országos első helyet nyertünk a DiningCity étteremhéten. Állítólag 2018 márciusban volt nálunk a vendég, de csak most jutott eszébe értékelést írni. A bejegyzés irigy, hamis, sértő és rosszindulatú, a valósággal köszönő viszonyban sincs.

We visited the restaurant with my family because we've heard so many positive opinions of Szél Fiai. The place is located about 20 km from Győr, the biggest city nearby so even if you stay there, it's worth paying a visit to Nyúl. The restaurant offers special and delicious dishes and is famous for it's quality wines and pálinka (strong Hungarian booze). Our waiter on that day recommended us a specialty, a so-called hybrid: "gypsy" sour cherry pálinka with sour-cherry liqueur. It was perfect! After I drank a glass of tramini wine of the region, ideal match for my parmezan-chicken dish. The waiters are kind and helpful, they know the dishes they are serving, they also make you recommendations and it was obvious that they like their jobs. It is not the cheapest restaurant but the quality of the food, drinks and service makes you forget about all that at the end :) Would like to come here again!
