The dinners served were very good with great portion size. The events were for a fishing tournament, Try the open face burger plate that comes in several sizes with some awesome fries. The service was lacking a bit maybe because the servers took to many smoke breaks outside? Our order got lost too so it took a while to get.

A dozen boats on the river but Chris took me to a place where we were completely alone all day. Site fishing dry flies to hundreds of fish. Caught 17" - 22" rainbows all day long. Been fishing for 20 years but learned so much from Chris about technical fishing, fish behavior and fly location in the water column. Throw... More

Fisheads makes you feel like you're a star staying at the Ritz, but has none of the pretension that comes with fancy hotels. The amenities at this place are above-average for the area and the staff is SO friendly and accommodating. My uncle and I stayed here for 2 nights to do some fly fishing on the San Juan River.... Back from another trip to the San Juan River Valley and it was great. For the first time in 6 years the BOR did a high water flush and fishing was fantastic. There was hardly anyone there due to the danger of wading the high water. You could not get to most of the spots but you could hike to... More

Just returned from a 3/2 package and WOW! The fishery itself is nearly unbelievable for the number and quality of (mostly) rainbows. Fished with Chris Jones and he was fantastic. Was able to effectively adjust to different levels of client skills and kept it fun ...and everyone catching fish. Even with somewhat challenging (high) water conditions Chris was able to... More

The water level is very high for the next month, but it made for GREAT fishing! Best in 5 years of fishing there. Accommodations are good for the price paid and the food is fantastic. Marcus and Chris (owner) are my favorites, but all the guides work hard to put you on the fish, especially if you are a novice.... More

My son and I spent an excellent time here on a 3/2 package: three nights lodging and two days guided fishing on the San Juan River. Really couldn't have asked for nicer people or more appropriate accommodations. If you're looking for the Ritz, you should stay at the Ritz, but I'm pretty sure this is the nicest place you could... We did not stay here for lodging, but merely stopped in for breakfast. The portions were large, the hospitality was good, and the food itself was pretty good (albeit not excellent). A good, early start for a couple of fly fishermen on their way to the San Juan River.

Stayed at the Fishead lodge, nice accommodations with a kitchenette, good bed. bring your own pillow there's suck! The pillows were the only bad part of the whole trip! We had a good reasonably priced breakfast and a fantastic fishing trip with our guide Corey! lots of brown trout and rainbows! no Hogs this time but a lot of nice... More
