Visiting La Mesilla and stayed at Casa de Rosie. Only two rooms, but what rooms. Our room was so spacious, it had room for a desk, a divan and a king size bed and it wasn't crowded. Then the bathroom, I have never been in a more beautiful room. It had a tub, separate stand up shower, large vanity sink... More

I highly recommend Casa de Rosie. My husband and I stayed one night in the Master bedroom which was very comfortable, extremely clean and spacious. Rosie pays attention to details that matter with comfortable bedding, thicker towels and bath supplies amidst simple and tasteful decor. The rest of the house was beautiful with lovely outdoor patio seating and fountain. We... More

Live like a local. In a large ,airy, friendly, clean, well located, quiet household. Chat with Rosie over a great breakfast in a pleasant courtyard. Walk to interesting shops and restaurants . Really recommend this B and B.

We stayed here one night while touring southern new mexico.Rosie was welcoming and helpful. She cooked a mean breakfast as well.We stayed in the Casita which was very private and well equipped. One of the pluses is that it is only 2 blocks from Mesilla which made for a pleasant stroll in the evening with dinner on the plaza

Beautiful House, wonderful big room and bath, and Conveniently located to Old Mesilla Plaza. But it's not too close (the traffic can be a little heavy for a small plaza). You can walk there in a minute or so. It's a beautiful house with high ceilings. Plenty of easy parking. The room we stayed in was large with a King... More

If you want to enjoy the quirky charm of historic Mesilla that is located in the Las Cruces area, consider staying at this Casa. It's located two blocks north of the attractive central Plaza where there are many fascinating shops, bars, and La Posta, the well known TexMex restaurant. Rosie will greet you and show you into this large hacienda... More

My experience at Rosie's was less idyllic than that of most reviewers. Most disappointing: having reserved the casita well ahead of time, I learned the day after check-in (and payment) that the stove in the kitchen you see in the photos is not functional. (Neither is the fireplace, but that was of less importance to me.) I had hoped to... More

Hmm It was my understanding that your were told that the stove in the Casita was not equipped to do a large dinner there and you were offered my big kitchen as a better alternative. I double checked the cleanliness and did not find a problem. It's unfortunate that you and I seemed to be frustrated with each other as... More

We stayed at Casa de Rosie for the second time. We walked to the town square and had very good dinner. The atmosphere in the square is southwestern with all the adobe style buildings and the church at the end of the square. Mesillia, is right next to Las Cruces, but offers a small town look. We will stay again.

I would like to say this was the first B&B I have ever been to. And this experience was one of the most wonderful, Miss Rosey was a Wonderfull Hostess and we enjoyed her suggestions on where to eat and what to see which turned out to be advice that made this an even better experience. So if you are... More

This is such a good memory on our recent road trip. Clean, quaint, quiet and steps from the Mesilla Plaza. Our hostess, Rosie, was a delight AND a great cook. A courtyard fountain, pet friendly, easy parking. We hope to get back soon!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa de Rosie is just one mile from Highway 10 and nearby Las Cruces. This is a beautiful bed and breakfast in historic old Mesilla, it is located about 100 steps from the Plaza and the Basilica of San Albino. This Bed and Breakfast has the distinction of being walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Old Mesilla, while still secluded and quiet. It is close to all the great restaurants of Old Mesilla, La Posta, The Double Eagle, Andele's, the Bean, and many more. Furthermore, Casa de Rosie is situated just down the street from the Rio Grande and the "Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park" (1.5 miles to the Park). Casa de Rosie (Rosie's Home) is situated on an acre of ground providing privacy and solitude for our guests. In the rear it is located right on the "Acequia", the canal that brings water from the Rio Grande. The dirt paths of the canal are perfect for those who like to run or walk for miles along the orchards and farmlands of the Mesilla Valley. Perfect for the most avid bird-watchers. Casa de Rosie is located on Calle del Norte (Highway 359) one of the few roads that cross the Rio Grande. Also, the Mesilla Bed and Breakfast is located on the major North South migratory routes of many bird species. The just opened Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park is just one mile away. ... more   less
