Charming, historic B&B, with friendly owners. Lace and antique furnishings, patio seating outside your room door, and a lush green yard--very old-fashioned and relaxing. Love being able to sleep with the door and windows opened to the cool night air.

Had the most wonderful time during my stay at the Ellis store! I first heard about this place on the show "Mysteries at the Hotel" and was intrigued. So upon booking a trip to stay in Lincoln I decided this would be a must place to stay. Don't plan on just having breakfast here, they also offer dinner if you... More

I arrived at dusk without a reservation and soon found myself feeling completely at home in the Billy the Kid room, big room with king bed (dark-chocolate-color sheets and spread), woodstove, and full bathroom. I enjoyed wood fires two nights and two mornings. Wood shutters blocked light and cold effectively; opened in the daytime, the windows and screen door let... More

Lincoln is our favorite town in New Mexico and the the Ellis Store adds so much to that! It is so restful to sit on the great curvy front porch and drink delicious coffee with chicory and listen to the coyotes and drink in the history. You can just feel the world falling away from you. David and Jinny are... More

Today I hosted a bridal tea at the Ellis Store. My original venue changed due to unfortunate circumstances at the last minute. I approached the owners, Jenney & David Vigil and explained to them that I had a last minute change of venue necessary. They both immediately said no problem ( with a two day notice and after hosting a... More

My wife and I really love old houses, and this one was incredible. The oldest part dates to 1850, and there have been a few additions since then. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating, and the homemade breakfast was outstanding (her French toast is to die for). If you are looking for a quaint place to stay with lots... More

We stopped here on a cross country bicycle ride on Easter weekend. Their hospitality blew me away. Breakfast was fabulous, and they even invited us to church. Thank you so much Dave and Jinny! This is a really old historic building, and there is much history in the town of Lincoln as well. You also have Capitan just up the... More

My wife and I have been going back to the Ellis Store for the past ten years and we have enjoyed every moment there. From the first time we met, we became good friends with the owners David and Ginny Vigil. The buildings are vintage late 1800's, with modern amenities to make you feel more at home. Ginny is an... My husband and I spent one night at the Ellis Store, and we slept in the bridal suite. The room was spacious and the bed was super-comfortable. The building is very old and historic and it was fun to hear stories about the Lincoln County War. It was mid September, but rainy and chilly so Dave, the owner, built a... More

We stayed at the Ellis Store B & B over Old Lincoln Days. We were in the Mill House, very noisy, old, small room, dark no TV or coffee in the rooms and some what rundown. Our traveling friends stayed in the main house and liked it though no hot water the first morning. The breakfast was Okay but was... More
