This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to rate a stay at a motel. This hotel was so disappointing. When we first got there and to our room we discovered that the toilet was leaking. I had sat down to use it and when I got up my pants and underwear were wet from the side of the toilet leaking. The hair dryer in our room did heat up. There was only one washcloth. We tried to call the front desk and there was never an answer. I found out later that none of the phones in the hotel work. The lamp on the nightstand wasn’t plugged in, and when I went to plug it in I discovered that the cord wouldn’t reach around the wall to the plug. Another couple who was traveling with us in a separate room couldn’t get hot water, it was discovered the next day the hot was labeled cold and the cold was labeled hot. Their room didn’t even have a hairdryer. We went to have a couple of cocktails in the bar area and afterwords wanted to get a card at the gift shop for a gift for another family member. It was four minutes till closing, the lady working the gift told us she was closing. She literally walked in front of me and closed the door abruptly nearly hitting me in the side of the head. Incredibly rude behavior. All we wanted to do was take 30 seconds and buy a two dollar card. She said they were closed and I said it’s four minutes till and she wouldn’t even respond. This place is terrible. The breakfast is terribly overpriced. I expressed my displeasure when we checked out after two nights with the attendant at the front desk. The gentleman asked me to write down my name and phone number and he would have the manager call me. I have yet to hear from the manager and that was 12 days ago. Hotel Encanto must be surviving off their previous reputation. This is not a destination for comfortable, accommodation and hospitality in Las Cruces. Very disappointing!

We were expecting a "Hampton Inn-like" place at best. This was nicer with a lovely pool area where we enjoyed a swim each afternoon. And with Covid, we got take -out and dined by the pool each evening. The rooms were clean, comfy and very quiet.

Let me start off by saying this place is absolutely beautiful. We recently spent 2 days here for a wedding. The event was stunning, and the staff were particularly amazing. Max, Josh, and Ashley took care of all of our dining and drink needs, and they deserve all of the praise. That was a night to remember. The patio rooms on the first floor was a perfect way to wind down after the reception. Thank you for a great stay.

I really wanted to like this hotel. We booked a room with a patio near the pool for our short stay in Las Cruces as part of our last leg of a long road trip. Pictures on the site were very nice and reviews were mixed, so we took a leap of faith. Arrived post dinner at the hotel to see no one at the desk. Eventually service rep appeared and got the room requested. Even with a mask on, the room stank of cigarette smoke. We called the desk and were promised a new room right away. Hauled all our luggage back to the desk, only to be told there was no other room and we would have to wait for them to get a machine out to clean the room. When we asked to speak to the mgr, we were told we could not, but clearly the desk representative was going to the back to speak with someone. We found an available room at a nearby marriott online, and then the hotel rep said that we could have a different room in the hotel. I asked for a discount since the room was a lower grade than we reserved and was told this could not be done. Overall the room was cramped, dated and the bathroom was dark. Do not pick this hotel.
